The 'tolerance' of the left never ceases to amaze me. For the people who want: an Islamic Mosque at the place where Islamic fanatics murdered 2752 mostly Americans; Homosexuals to marry and also insert (sorry) their tawdry behavior into the minds of American children in the public schools and so much more, they are the most intolerant when it come to freedom of speech for any who disagree with them.
In the last week I had 2 "friends", unfriend me on Facebook. The first, a friend of 30 years, because I posted information about the TSA's groping of nuns and molesting children in the name of anti-terror. The second, a friend of 40 years, because I 'liked' SarahPalinUSA.
The following is the conversation I had with her.
Yep. I've got some family members that wouldn't lift a finger if they knew that I was being shipped off to the gulag for re-education.
I can see that families are about to start dividing along ideological lines, with liberal kids marrying liberals, and conservative kids marrying conservatives.
I've already told my daughter that when she gets old enough to date, that I'm going to test all of her beaus on their political leanings. She knows that libs are verboten, and that they'll be tossed from the front porch.
One of the things I think I've learned in 6+ decades is anger is an emotion that can often reveal frustration with one's own ignorance.

What it all boils down to is that I don’t see those old Hens on “The View” taking down a Cariboo somewhere in Alaska. Although that would make for a extremely funny reality show watching them try.
Progressive intolerance is a thing to behold. I have cousins that have unfriended me because I told them that ObommieDaCommie is a socialist...last year! I had two liberal friends last week say goodbye because I told them they were intolerant of conservative views.
They are dangerous.....SDS, Weather Underground, ELF, ALF, you name it.
Yes. When I ask what positions of Palin’s they disagree with, they can’t give an answer.

My two daughters (13) already talk about who they will want to date later on. The list is pretty short though as they have limited it down to conservative and Christian, and they can’t be a goofball. Well, the “goofball” part pretty much disqualifies all the boys. For now. :)

I have relatives that I am not speaking to because of obama. I don’t know if I will ever speak to them again because I am that angry. My parents tell me to “forgive” but it is so hard after they have ruined the country!
I hate to appear sexist, here, but this information came from my dearly departed mother. She said women can be viscous in their hatred of another woman but less so if a man is equally hated.

If you want to know what a person is made of. Bring up Sarah Palin. Their reaction will tell you everything you need to know.
I think our side is too nice sometimes.
I hate to take advice from the President. But maybe we do need to argue with them and get in their faces. chew them out. personally attack them with words. beat them at their own game. atleast get our moneys worth.

I was amazed at the searing hated expressed by your former friend toward Sarah Palin. Also, could you imagine the off-the-charts outrage if a conservative had used the phrase “stay home and bring up her children properly” in relation to a liberal politician?
I’m male, but I’ll attest to what your mother said. She was a wise woman!

Hey, I was defriended by a “progressive” friend who tried to compare the Bush administration to McCarthyism. When I pointed out that the Venona papers have proved that McCarthy was actually correct and that there were a couple of hundred communist spies in the Federal government, he defriended me.
They have problems with facts. This guy didn’t even realize that the Progressive party was a collection of communists and socialists. Wow.
Ignorance is free, I suppose.
While this Sharon person sounds like an absolute horror, I, too, have QUIETLY unfriended one or two acquaintances because of their searing, violent comments towards Republicans. Both were gay and never let up on the subject of gay rights and evil right wingers. I never get political on Facebook. I guess I just think life is too short.
