MARIAH Carey has spoken out to address rumors about her sexuality.
In a new interview with The Advocate magazine, the singer — who’s expecting her first child with husband Nick Cannon — insists she isn’t bisexual.
“If it makes somebody happy to say that, then whatever, but that’s not the reality,” she said.”I don’t have a discriminatory policy of who I’m friends with, so yes, I’m friends with women who are gay — gay, straight, it doesn’t matter to me. So I don’t get upset when I hear that, because it is what it is. I guess I could lie about it to seem more exciting.”
Carey is an open advocate of gay marriage rights.
“If two people want to get married, it’s their prerogative — we hope. Everybody should be able to do what they want to do and be in the pursuit of happiness,” she said.
“Ever since I was a little girl, my mother was very open-minded and had many different types of friends, so being gay never seemed wrong or strange to me.
“Maybe part of the connection is that I do write songs from an outsider perspective. A lot of my die-hard gay fans don’t just know my singles, but they also know all the album cuts.
“I have songs about feeling different and alienated, because I grew up with my own issues, being biracial and not having money.”
What else is she going to say. The gays run the entertainment industry, and if you don’t toe the party line, your career is over.

She was very talented but got a real big push by marring the head of Sony Records, but after a few years decided to explore her “black” side by seeming to sleep with every West Coast rapper in CA.
Seems to have settled down lately and I don’t wish her ill will, but celebs try too hard to be PC nowadays and it does get old to me also.
The worst part of the show was the totally brainless prattle that went on between the celeb and the program host — both of these people sounded as if they were three neurons short of a synapse — boring doesn't begin to tell it.
Mariah has tons of money and celebrity and that's about it. She's pretty much a dumb diva in nearly any other venue.
Chastisement accepted. She did have a miscarriage with their first try. I'm glad she's doing well now.
I don't think everyone has to be thin. It's her business what she weighs. I posted the recent pic in response to the one from long ago, to note the transition, that's all.

She was blessed with an incredible voice, and she has used it very well. To say she not made good personal choices (her marriage to the much older Mattola, her gangsta ho rebellion years, the ‘rose petals and doves because I am a Diva! phase) but she seems to have normalized and softened during her marriage to Nick Cannon (who is like ten years younger). Cannon, from seeing his interactions on AGT, seems sane, normal and kind...and I think he was/is the saving grace of Mariah.
Or maybe, omnisexual?
