To make a long story short.... as a child, my brother saw a demon outside our window (back then you had to have the tv by a window because of heat generated). He saw this demon "dancing" around our window. He has been plagued w/ nothing but horror.
Now, in these days, he has over come his demons; however, his first born son has seen this demon, a few months ago, outside his window. His first born son described to him ( at first reluctant that he would not be believed) the same thing my brother saw as a child. My brother was stunned.
We need help. I truly believe in satan and his demons to be as real as we are. What can we do? Who do we turn to?
Some may see this as nonsense, but we are living this in real life. Can anyone help us or at least lead us to someone who can help?
When we bought our houses one of the first things we did after changing the locks and before moving in was to pray over the house and acknowledge that it was His house as He had provided it to us and dedicate it to His honor and glory.
We consider that everything we have is His anyway, but felt that the formal acknowledging it as a family in prayer was important.
Christ told those he healed to show themselves to the physicans. A man who died a few years back spent a lifetime in a ministry of "HEALING" taking gulliable persons away from their money and often their lives as well as any chance of a medical cure.
Your statement is self-contradictory.
Good point. Authority does come to us through Christ. But what power or authority has been granted us? According to scripture it seems to be limited to making disciples, baptizing, and being His witnesses. Christ granted his apostles power to cast out demons but that does not seem to extend to us, his disciples.
But I still stand by my basic premise, if we truly believe Christ is in control over this world, then everything happens for a reason. Seeing a demon at the window should not alarm us. It should only draw us closer to Christ. What should we fear?
I would suggest our problems are not as much with Satan and his demons as they are with ourselves and our fallen natures.
Bookmarked!
Jesus really is the barrier. Demons whisper to everyone words of temptation, self loathing, judgement and fear to various degrees. We don’t usually see them.
Anyone who deals with this just say “in the name of Jesus be gone!” Refuse to entertain it in any way. It works. Say a prayer with that child to Jesus and let him know he belongs to Jesus. Don’t be scared and scare him. Demons have no power over Christ’s children.
2. Bearing false witness is not nice nor Christian.
3. I'm not sure we share sufficient vocabulary or common understanding of the issues to have even a minimally fruitful genuine dialogue.
IT SHOULD BE INTERESTING WHEN YOU HAVE TO DEAL WITH DEMONIC FORCES OVERTLY IN PRIME TIME IN FRONT OF LOVED ONES, GOD AND EVERYONE.
CHEERS.
You clearly have no clue about the 100’s of successful deliverance sessions I’ve been a part of—a significant number of which I led.
It sounds to me like you could profit from many dozens of pages of real info on the topic before spouting outrageous nonsense.
We have no authority:
The last of MARK 16 disagrees with you, Harley.
Just a matter of a man knowing his limitations. As I mentioned previously, there’s a lot of big name evangelists who thought themselves equal to temptation and lost. Extremely publicly.
Well put.
Excellent points.
Would you concur that neurological problems
1. would have shown other evidence by 4 in virtually all cases pertinent to this thread
and
2. such problems do NOT account for seeing the SAME THING a generation and geography distant from one another. Neurological things just do NOT manifest in such an identical fashion across individuals.
Henry Wright has trained folks all over.
Kenneth Hagin Sr has passed on.
I don’t know if Jr . . . has anything near the spiritual clout, or not.
I know I’d liked to have seen a lot more humility on Jr’s part 30+ years ago.
It was pure, unadultrated, evil.
1. Interesting that you are convinced that
I do “not understand nor realize the seriousness of what I’m saying on this matter.”
2. Given the extensive training formal and informal that The Lord has put me through . . . quite relevant to this topic . . . that’s an interesting conviction on your part.
3. I have heard absolutely NO evidence of a neurological problem. Any significant neurological problem remotely likely to produce ‘hallucinations’ or whatever such that y’all have been ranting rather inexperiencedly about
WOULD HAVE PRODUCED A STRING OF SYMPTOMS WELL BEFORE THE WINDOW INCIDENT.
4. Where’s SUCH EVIDENCE? We’ve heard of none. There evidently is none.
5. Fantasizing neurological problems BASED ON SILENCE AND NO EVIDENCE is irresponsible and unkind, imho.
Mark 16:17
was
TO BELIEVERS
WHOSOEVER BELIEVES.
Biases are poor foundations for solid Biblical interpretation and understanding.
What topic do you wish to discuss.
It appears that you are hop scotching all over the place.
I wasn’t aware we were discussing temptation per se.
Sounds like it might be well worth your time to seek some competent discerning anointed spiritual counsel on the whole issue/phenomenon.
I mean, I'd really like to stop spouting nonsense. I'd hate to think I'd wasted my money learning about theology and Bible studies and ancient Middle Eastern and Near Eastern history. Not to mention my additional home study. Please advise me where I've gone wrong.
Thanks,
j
You really beleive Mattel mass produced and sold cheap the window to the other side??
Derek Prince graduated from this life.
His record and teachings are around.
There are also other good folks . . . Henry Wright has been mentioned.
I realize you were being satirical.
The demonic is a hazardous thing to be satirical about.
