To make a long story short.... as a child, my brother saw a demon outside our window (back then you had to have the tv by a window because of heat generated). He saw this demon "dancing" around our window. He has been plagued w/ nothing but horror.
Now, in these days, he has over come his demons; however, his first born son has seen this demon, a few months ago, outside his window. His first born son described to him ( at first reluctant that he would not be believed) the same thing my brother saw as a child. My brother was stunned.
We need help. I truly believe in satan and his demons to be as real as we are. What can we do? Who do we turn to?
Some may see this as nonsense, but we are living this in real life. Can anyone help us or at least lead us to someone who can help?
I’ve never seen James Randi, Bill Nye, or Richard Dawkins. As far as I know, they’re mythical figures designed to delude the sheeple.
I just told my brother he needs to involve his Priest. If his Priest doesn’t want to get involved, go higher.

However, all believers will be increasingly confronted by demonic forces.
The light is getting lighter and certainly the flood of demonic forces is increasing in these END TIMES as Scripture indicated would be the case.
They need to learn to deal with them in their own lives and in the lives of those they care about.
I read the Rite also. Rome is still being bombarded. The skeptics would call this rise a reflection of movies, imagery and the culture depicting Satan and his Demons. I worked a case a couple of years ago, much like this OP says, faces in the mirrors, shadows, bad smells, pets being injured, poltergeist activity, the guy was a PhD at a major university, an agnostic from what I could gather. not some wild eyed “Jesus freak”. We got lots of activity via EVP, weird light anomalies, I personally saw the shadows and we all experienced doors slamming and being shoved out of rooms. One of our investigators had to leave, she got so upset. Punch line here is these things are real not some cultural mass hallucination or paranoia
They MUST wise up.

Pussy footing around with demonic forces only gets worse.
Sometimes when the demonic forces realize that the gig is up, they may pull back in terms of overt manifestations and work hard to convince those involved that it was all some wierd mental hallucination of no consequence.

Your Brother COULD have some extra clout as priest over his own home . . . however, a wife in disagreement can still cause a lot of spiritual problems and troubles vis a vis demonic forces.
Demonic forces love to play our fears like a piano.
The Bible evidently has 365 verses about FEAR—many FEAR NOT!
Also, cultivating THE JOY OF THE LORD AS OUR STRENGTH is helpful.
There are tens of thousands of witness in South America, Africa, China, Philippines, Indonesia . . . and even in regions of Mexico.
These are places where the demonic is demonstrably real.

I think it was your assertion that the OP's story is some figment of his imagination, that the bible says demonic oppression\possession is impossible today. I never asserted ALL the supernatural things in the Bible are happening today, that is a silly strawman. The Apostles had some unique gifts that yes died with them, they were for a time and purpose.

I’m not going to engage in your command performance study as I have more important fish to fry.
You may state your points, or not, as you will.
You may offer a verse or 3 as examples, or not, as you will.

If your brother is RC, then I suggest tracking down the nearest Roman Catholic Charismatic group with a good reputation as walking powerfully in Holy Spirit’s anointing.

Quix, this is even more inane than usual.
If your brother’s Priest agrees to get involved but isn’t experienced in spiritual warfare, it could make matters better for a short time but then much worse. Sometimes a priest/pastor will come out to pray with you in your home thinking that it will “make you feel better” or to mechanically perform a standard ritual prescribed in their doctrine. I want you to understand that simply getting a man of the cloth involved won’t solve the problem.
You must get someone who is experienced in such matters and who will prepare your brother for spiritual warfare. Entering into spiritual warfare unprepared can be worse than simply doing nothing because you are engaging the enemy on his terms. You (or your brother) must be very careful, FRiend.
Agreed, satan and his demons are real - but remember one greater than they has already defeated them at Calvary. Right now, satan - because of his hatred for mankind will torment us where ever, and however he can (... although as an aside, mankind often doesn't need this excuse -- sadly we often willing torment one another without satan's 'help').
I can only offer my prayers for your brother and his son - but remind them that Christ has won. No one can pluck any of HIS out of HIS hand. This doesn't mean that satan can't inflict some temporary pain -- but rest in the LORD and in HIS promises and HIS finished work. A couple of parallel verses from Peter 1 and James provide good advice:
1 Peter 5:6-9 Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time: Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you. Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour: Whom resist stedfast in the faith, knowing that the same afflictions are accomplished in your brethren that are in the world.
James 4:6-10 But he giveth more grace. Wherefore he saith, God resisteth the proud, but giveth grace unto the humble. Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. Draw nigh to God, and he will draw nigh to you. Cleanse your hands, ye sinners; and purify your hearts, ye double minded. Be afflicted, and mourn, and weep: let your laughter be turned to mourning, and your joy to heaviness. Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and he shall lift you up.
But above all, remember the wonderful promises of Romans 8 -- nothing - nothing - will separate the Believer from the love of Christ.

I never went back into that house and never will. Not a religious man although I wish I was. The only advice I can give is to get out.

If your point is that Scripture does not include any verses that mention folks seeing demons directly with their eyes, you could be right.

There’s plenty of verses about manifestations in hurting lives of demonic forces.
And, there are verses about dealing with such effectively.
Some folks seem to be ‘gifted’ with ‘seeing’ into the spiritual realm at various times to various degrees in various ways. This is also a Biblical construct on reality.
Even the fallen angels assoiated with UFO’s have a capacity to appear and disappear evidently at will something akin to materializing, dematerializing.
Demonic forces are said to be fallen angels that lost their bodies during Noah’s flood.
Wise spiritual warfare is more or less the only kind to engage in.
Yes, certainly. I just want him to be clear there are those out there who mean well and may try to help but are not prepared to do spiritual battle. Involving such could make matters worse. Binding spirits/demons must be done with authority (obviously) and rock-solid faith.
I’m not telling you anything you don’t know. I just want Gray to be clear about it.
