Is this still .308 Winchester, or did they upgrade to .338 Lupua?

Wow! An Erector set that acts as a Long Distance Paper Punch.

"rather have Carlos Hathcock."
There's only been about 10 guys in the history of modern warfare that could shoot that good.
For the other 49,990 you need more help...and the modern scopes and rifles HELP when you're shooting 4km.

Wow! An Erector set that acts as a Long Distance Paper Punch. 300 Winchester Magnum at 1300 yards. It might not shoot through concrete walls but I'm guessing it will go through a turban just fine.

Imagine how many kills he would have had with this kind of range.

Paul Mauser would be proud I think.
There are likely some of his earlier designs firing back at us from the natural redoubts that are Afghanistan.
My dad brought a 30-40 Krag back from Viet Nam as a “war trophy”- best I can figure the Navy took some to China during the Boxer Rebellion. The NVA got some and were using them against us and at least this one Springfield Armory weapon made it home full circle.

Imagine how many kills he would have had with this kind of range. It may have given him the highest sniper kill total in Vietnam.

In urban warfare I'd rather have my Marlin .22mag with a nine power scope. That's what the Israeli's use in urban conflicts.

I’d rather have my Springfield Socom II 18” with iron sights in .308 or my Bushmaster .308.
Boom! Shaka Laka Boom!
