Seems pretty strange not to see University of Texas either. And again rightfully so.
What’s with all of these minor bowls after Jan 1? The next few weeks before Christmas should be for the crapper bowls.
Gig 'em!
The Arkansas vs Ohio St marchup MIGHT be worth watching. Mallet will probably being playing on Sundays pretty soon.
The bowl folks look at strength....of schedule. Boise St. don't have it...
So. Many. Mormon jokes.
Really? I’m liking Ohio St. v Arkansas. I’m thinking OSU will be heavily overbet, while Arkansas is a team that is capable of beating anyone in the country. Haven’t seen the opening line on it, but would expect the Buckeyes’ backers to bet them up beyond reason.
I think the Hogs spank ‘em good.
Yea I’ve been secretly hoping for a “Mormon Bowl” sometime BSU (Idaho) V BYU (Utah)
The SEC - Big 10 matchups look like they might be pretty good. Stanford -WVU and Okla - UConn aren’t going to turn on many TV sets. Georgia - UCF? And I expect they’ll be giving away tickets for the Armed Forces Bowl. Of course, Ford Stadium seats about as many folks as a good high school facility in Texas. (Seats about 32,000).
UConn playing against OU in a BCS Bowl? UConn is not even ranked in the BCS ranking, but ranked 25 in AP Top 25.
Yeah...Boise gets Utah in the Vegas Bowl...big frggin’ deal!
How do you get a fair playoff system with some teams not in conference (Notre Dame) and some conferences without a Championship game (Pac 12)?
The first one did the damage. But Nevada deserved to win too.
I’m rooting for Auburn. The more games they win, the more they will have to forfeit.
The old Pac-10 vs. Big 10...not that it would matter anyway since upon landing at LAX, the Big 10 teams turn into a bunch of bumpkins, seeing the Big City for the first time and proceed to get their clocks cleaned.
Prediction:
Mobilehoma-70 UConn-10
Being from Arkansas, I’ll be watching this one. OSU is a very tough adversary. It should be a good one.
Since Oklahoma has history of choking in big bowl games, it makes sense for Connecticut to match up against them.
Everyone’s talking about the two missed field goals, but never mention that BSU basically phoned it in for the second half of the game. That was why they lost, not because of the missed kicks.
UConn got the Fiesta Bowl bid, because they beat USF and became BIG EAST chumps.
