I'm Shikaku!





My Humans seem to have chosen my name from out of the Blue
It was also the name of a Japanese Naval Aircraft Carrier
Of World War II, though that doesn't prevent a Barrier
To the fun I can have, or what I can do!

Climbing the odd Curtain, chasing a Ribbon or flirting for Food
They are just Items to be Achieved while attaining much sought after "Cat~titude"
A bit of Panache to aid a singular and unique style
Appearing bored, distant and aloof for most of the while
Which can all change in an Instant, when Fate takes a hand

To disrupt the most carefully and well laid plan
A flash of lightning, or The Pretty One arriving Home from "Shopping"
Has been known to send this little Kitten's heart hopping
And wriggle away from The Little One's tight embrace

As down the Stairs to the Foyer I race
To find out just What is the Commotion?
While bulging Bags are emptied Quickly
My Tail flicks and snaps as I pounce to see
And "Play Time!" overwhelms all previous notions!
