The True Owner
December 27, 2010
Did you hear about the church that didnt have enough room for parking? Fortunately, it was located right next to a store that was closed on Sundays, so a church member asked the store owner if they could overflow into his parking lot. No problem, he said. You can use it 51 weeks out of the year. On the 52nd week, though, it will be chained off. The man was grateful, but asked curiously, What happens that week? The store owner smiled, Nothing. I just want you to remember that its not your parking lot.
Its easy to take for granted all the material and spiritual blessings that God has given us. Thats why we need to stop and remember that Scripture says the true owner of all we possess is God: All that is in heaven and in earth is Yours; Yours is the kingdom, O Lord, and You are exalted as head over all (1 Chron. 29:11). Even our bodies do not belong to us: Do you not know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit . . . and you are not your own? For you were bought at a price (1 Cor. 6:19-20).
As 1 Timothy 6:17 reminds us: God . . . gives us richly all things to enjoy. We are so abundantly blessed with good things! Lets never take our Father for granted, but use wisely and gratefully all that He has given us.
As we all enjoy Gods blessing,
Oh, may we not forget
Our Lord, from whom all good gifts come
In Him our needs are met. Fitzhugh
God gives blessing to us so we can give glory to Him.
Read: Psalm 95:1-7

Can I sleep on the floor in Jaycee’s room? Man is that an inviting pix! Cold here in OK but no snow. Having a nice visit with my brohter. Meeting up Wed with Internet friend from another site. She lives about 45 minutes away & we will do lunch somewhere in middle. I LOVE meeting up with friends I have gotten to know & appreciate on-line.
I am doing a lot of cooking here & I love it. My brother does the rest. They both work full time & appreciate to a degree not having the extra work.
Dogs doing okay except Toby refused to stay in the fenced back yard which is almost an acre.. So instead of long times out, they have short times with toby on Leash.
My iMac goes to the Apple store today - major issues. My brother has the very same iMac24 & for a year longer & has had NOT ONE PROBLEM. Mine has been to the store about a dozen times for various problems. Think we have hardware failure this time. Glad it is under warranty

This little sweetie has been in my files forever and I don't remember ever posting her. Good morning! That little sweetie's face looks like Le Ann Rimes. :)
Raise your hand if your Christmas decor is coming down this week. :)
I'm tard. Mine is 99% DONE, and it is great to have it put away again for another year.

Like I said, I’ve had it a long time and would forget or maybe the chance didn’t arise to post it! It was already framed, etc. Is yours framed, too? I am longing for pastels and spring very badly......LOL!
We’ve had snow, snow, snow!! The sun is out and maybe it will leave now! We had some of our biggest snows in January last year though! I haven’t taken down my decorations because I have been too ‘tard’ too! Maybe in a day or two, hopefully. We had a wonderful Christmas with my kids, grandkids, Ashley’s boyfriend, etc. Had a lot of good food and good fun! And best of all, I made it through it all! I had some doubts when I had a fall the evening before Christmas Eve! And outside, too!

We are a light in a dark world.
Shine your light today. Moment to moment.

GOOD MILITARY MONDAY TO AMYS PLACE!
The Soldiers Code
1) I am an American fighting man. I serve in the forces which guard my country and our way of life. I am prepared to give my life in their defense.
2) I will never surrender of my own free will. If in command, I will never surrender my men while they still have the means to resist.
3) If I am captured, I will continue to resist by all means available. I will make every effort to escape and aid others to escape. I will accept neither parole nor special favors from the enemy.
4) If I become a prisoner of war, I will keep faith with my fellow prisoners. I will give no information or take part in any action which might be harmful to my comrades. If I am senior, I will take command. If not, I will obey the lawful orders of those appointed over me, and will back them up in every way.
5) When questioned, should I become a prisoner of war, I am bound to give only name, rank, service number, and date of birth. I will evade answering further questions to the utmost of my ability. I will make no oral or written statements disloyal to my country and its allies, or harmful to their cause.
6) I will never forget that I am an American fighting man, responsible for my actions, and dedicated to the principles which made my country free. I will trust in my God and in the United States of America.
President Dwight D. Eisenhower, August, 1955.

There is plenty of room for everyone in Dolly's Jacuzzi!Wine is chilled and we have blocks of cheese with assorted crackers.
(We'll pop some corn later, as we chat by the fire)

Thanks so much yorkie. There are codes for the little images. I can send them to you if you like. I had to spend a lot of time on it, getting the ‘breaks’ just right, etc, and all the different font color inserts, lol. I’m glad you enjoyed it.

I am like you Meg, three days behind and can’t catch up but appreciate all the wonderful pings and greetings from friends. I had 17 people for three days and they left late last evening. The house is a mess and I’m worn out, lol.
Please no responses or I’ll really be in trouble!!

It was EXCELLENT! Being a novice at HTML, I am realizing how much work it takes to put something so detailed together!
Ya done GOOD, Potlatch, and I loved and appreciated it immensely.
(Of course I would love the code - but I would feel funny using something that is ‘yours’.)

Happy Military Monday, Conor.
Are you snowed in?
The fog is burning off and it should be a nice day here.
Thank you for sharing Ike and The Soldiers Code.
Have a Wonderful Week.
