I can now claim to know an unknown genius! It is wonderful!
Can I pass it around? :)
Of course - I didn't post anything but the truth - (and I got permission from our dear hostess (Amy) before I posted it.)
Parallel Universes
December 21, 2010
Every so often I catch myself wondering about the whole grand scheme of faith. I stand in an airport, for example, watching important-looking people in business suits, briefcases clutched to their sides, as they pause at an espresso bar before scurrying off to another concourse. Do any of them ever think about God? I wonder.
Christians share an odd belief in parallel universes. One universe consists of glass and steel and wool clothes and leather briefcases and the smell of freshly ground coffee. The other consists of angels and spiritual forces and somewhere-out-there places called heaven and hell. We palpably inhabit the material world; it takes faith to consider oneself a citizen of the other, invisible world.
Christmas turns the tables and hints at the struggle involved when the Lord of both worlds descends to live by the rules of the one. In Bethlehem, the two worlds came together, realigned. What Jesus went on to accomplish on planet Earth made it possible for God someday to resolve all disharmonies in both worlds. No wonder a choir of angels broke out in spontaneous song, disturbing not only a few shepherds but the entire universe (Luke 2:13-14).
It's never too late to have a happy childhood! :)

Like the mind, the soul and the spirit, and life itself ... they can not be seen, but we do know the effects of their presence.. Their presence can be sensed, known, realized, and affirmed.
Is it more difficult to believe in a soul, and spirit than to see there is order in the universe, order out of potential chaos? The supreme magnificence of the workings of our bodies systems. Absolutely amazing. To accept a higher power than man, and to know that the higher power is a force for good, and hope, love, and a future glory? God.
We are surrounded by miracles and wonders. They seem commonplace and go largely unnoticed. The way the eyes work, the brain functions, growth of the egg fertilized by sperm. Growing from a speck into a human being. Or a mighty Oak tree from and tiny acorn. Where does it come from? Out of the ground, and the REDWOODS grows to be hundreds of years old. They are wonders. Or a tomato seed. Where do the tomatoes come from? A seed water and dirt. How does that become a tomato?
It is all the wonder and magnificence of God's creation. the DNA of all living creatures determines what it will be. A code as it were.. We can not make an ocean of water or DIRT. and yet we are without excuse...

Romans 1:18-25 (King James Version)
18. For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who hold the truth in unrighteousness;
19. Because that which may be known of God is manifest in them; for God hath shewed it unto them.
20. For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse:
21. Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened.
22. Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools,
23. And changed the glory of the uncorruptible God into an image made like to corruptible man, and to birds, and fourfooted beasts, and creeping things.
24. Wherefore God also gave them up to uncleanness through the lusts of their own hearts, to dishonour their own bodies between themselves:
25. Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed for ever. Amen.”

Our greatest treasure is God's Word. He wanted us to know Him and about God's attributes.
When we spend time in the study of His word we are changed. The reading of His Word proves itself to us as we are moved by His Words.
The Lord Jesus Christ came to give us life more abundantly. Learn of Him.

Hebrews 4:12 (King James Version)
“12. For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.”

Shame on us, we move around in God creation and do not acknowledge the creator. Unbelievable wonders.
We serve God Almighty.
AWESOME!! :)
Lovely graphic, and I’m still hearing that song as I wrap a few gifts. Thank you!
Hi, Conor! Glad you are able to get back to work this soon. Geeze, just a few years ago, a knee replacement would hold a patient in the hospital for ten days!
Go slow, and be kind to yourself.
Happy Tuesday!

Wishing you a smooth first day back in the office!
