Gail, in my humble opinion, the most beautiful Christmas tree, is one that has decorations from one’s childhood, ornaments that have been hand made, ornaments received as gifts many years ago from a forgotten friend, saved trim from the first tree shared with your spouse, clay ornaments, carefully painted by a child and that special star that was hand crocheted by grandma’s own hands.
I have a friend that keeps a Christmas tree on her table all year round. Every little ornament has a relevant Scripture attached to it. It is small (about three feet tall) but SO inspiring! Most of the ornaments are charms or small wood carved decorations.
I’ll bet your tree is the most beautiful in your whole city!

I love ornaments acquired over the years. I had a box of red satin balls thaat were spread around to coordinate the hodgepodge..some ornaments were made by my children..I think old ornaments have memories attached to them that make it special...Now even the red satin balls (40 yrs old) have memories and I fill my Mother’s cutglass bowl with them ..and place some around inside my china cabinet at Christmas now that I don’t put up a tree. I have given some of my wooden ones to the children but still display the free standing ones..at least 35 yrs old.

Evenin’ MEG.
Lots of Christmas music playing in our house and in the car as we travel around town etc. Can’t help but sing along with the artists. Learned lots of Christmas Carols as a child, thanks to the up-bringing of my parents.

I gave up on doing it right..I have them wired to a swag I once used on a stair rail and my back just gave up on undoing it all..It’s messy but arranged where it goes on the bookcase counter. Decorations helped with hiding wires.
Believe me..I am not rushing..LOL
