George Bush Praises Obama, Talks WikiLeaks & Admits He's Just Trying To Sell Books In Facebook Webcast JAMIE STENGLE | 11/29/10 09:10 PM |

DALLAS — Former President George W. Bush has pledged not to publicly criticize his successor, Barack Obama, but he did offer some praise Monday during a live broadcast on Facebook to promote his new book.

Bush participated in an hour-long discussion on Facebook Live with the site's founder and chief executive Mark Zuckerberg and was asked what he thought the current administration was handling well. The former president responded that he liked Obama's policy on Afghanistan.

"I think the idea of putting more troops in was something that I can applaud," Bush said. "I also appreciate some of the education position. As I understand it they do believe strongly that accountability is necessary in order to achieve excellence in the classrooms."

As the discussion started, Zuckerberg asked Bush why he decided to appear on Facebook. Bush quipped: "Because you've got a lot of people paying attention to us, and I'm trying to sell books."

He then told Zuckerberg that he loves entrepreneurship and a country that could help make someone like Zuckerberg able to realize his dream and, in turn, create jobs for many people. "Yours is a really interesting company, and plus: I'm shamelessly marketing," he said.

Only because they are extensions of his own policy?

Why shouldn’t Bush like what Obama is doing in Afghanistan. It’s pretty much the same thing he was doing.

Obama said we would get out. Oops.

Gag. This ain't Skull and Bones at Yale - Obama is trying to destroy our country and “Respect for the Office of the President” is inappropriate t extend to a man who is trying to diminish that office.

The irony is that the O continues the war with W’s Secretary of Defense and W’s general. His Iraq policy is W’s. His Afghan policy is a slightly watered down version of W’s.

Guantanamo is still in business too, I notice.

So Bush is essentially bragging on his own policy.

Actually, Obama never said he’d get out. He criticized Bush during the election as not warlike enough! The Afghan escalation is one of the few election promises which Obama has kept.

Mr. "Nice" is really starting to get on my nerves.
He either doesn't care or doesn't understand what the hell is happening to the country right now.

"Bush said. 'I also appreciate some of the education position. As I understand it they do believe strongly that accountability is necessary in order to achieve excellence in the classrooms.'"

Any current public education position is FAILURE, Mr. Bush!

"Accountability?" Public schools 60 years ago and prior had the confidence of the American people because schools, administrators, and teachers were accountable to PARENTS.

But with each generation of public school graduates becoming the parents of the next generation, parents have ceded all responsibility to the teachers, or rather to the progressive, anti-family teachers unions.

Now, except in perhaps a few small regions of the country, if parents were to attempt to openly and directly monitor the content of the teaching and the examples set by this generation of teachers, and assert parental authority, they are laughed out by this generation of statists in the government schools.

We will press our new Republican congressman and new Republican Senator in Indiana to pay more attention to the validity and superiority of education in home schooling, church schools, and other pro-family (accountable to the parents) private schools.

Keep in mind Bush was ASKED to say one or two POSITIVE things about Obama (by the 10th richest man in America, no less). Was he supposed to call him a Commie? Like he said, he was there to sell books.

The far left are angry at Obama for sending more troops. Hopefully this statement by Bush will increase that anger and increase the chances of those freaks staying at home in ‘12.
