Fox News and David Axelrod

Posted on 11/27/2010 3:35:42 PM PST by plinyelder

Did anyone else see the 'kiss-fest' that Fox had with Axelrod and his family?

Boo Hoo session about what they are having to go through with one of their kids and her epilepsy.

Of course nothing was said about Their Gold-Plated insurance .. paid for by the "Common Folk" who Axelrod and his ilk are trying their best to destroy those same "Common Folks" meager insurance!

I didn't watch the whole thing .. It made me sick, just knowing that Fox was doing their little Kiss Up!

I know this isn't well written .. I'm Pissed!

Thanks for allowing my rant.

Good grief, people...

His daughter has epilepsy, and he and his wife did a remarkable job raising her. The show did a great job of showing what parents of kids with such an illness goes thru.

I can’t even begin to imagine what it would be like to walk a mile in their shoes.

Politics aside.

Sometimes this bunch, Free Republic makes me sick.

I can't watch FNC anymore except for Glenn Beck.

I watch several shows on Fox Business Network, though.

Judge Napolitano, Stossel and Follow the Money are my faves.

Insurance doesn’t pay for long term care. Those us with special gifts from heaven pay out of pocket to give them the care they need.

Here is what I took away from the segments I saw.

Ax comments that their daughter’s illness ruined their vacations.

That they felt that since they might die in 20 years or so they should put her in a ‘facility’ NOW.

My opinion, FWIW, is that he did not want to bring their damaged daughter to D.C. Keep her out of sight at the ‘facility’.

This man has pushed for Obamacare which would deny families all the doctoring they got for their daughter.

The first time I read about this daughter the Axelrod’s stated that the seizure was the result of an inoculation. I suspect, with no evidence, that they sued the manufacturer and that pays for the subsequent and current care for their daughter.

Clearly, rationing of health care for us but not for him.

Call me COLD.

You have put into words ‘Exactly’ what I wanted to .. but couldn’t/didn’t!

I am afraid that it is going to fall on deaf ears though and people like us are Just Mean Spirited and like picking on “The Children”!

I think that THIS should tell you all you need to know!?

Top White House adviser David Axelrod says that if Congress passes the Democrats' national health care bill, it will be politically impossible for Republicans to undo the changes brought by the massive legislation. "I say, Let's have that fight. Make my day," Axelrod said on "Meet the Press."

I recently read an article on the Atkins (Ketosis) Diet for children prone to seizures. A very close friend said her nephew (child) was suffering from seizures due to brain tumors. He was having eight seizures a day and after two weeks on the Ketosis Diet, he has three a week. It is a miracle for this family.

I’ve seen their story profiled a couple years ago on 60 Minutes and in Parade magazine.

In the eyes of this regime, people who suffer from epilepsy or any other dibilitating condition are deemed worthless human beings, who should be done away with. Liberals compassion for the less fortunate among us, is as phony as phony can be.

I saw it the other day. It was less about the father than the daughter and she hasn’t done anything to anyone.

This is the type of thread that will be used to show that “the right” is a cold hearted, mean spirited movement.

WHAT THE HELL IS WRONG WITH YOU? That story actually made me remember he’s a human being. I didn’t know places like that home existed and I’m sure that report will bring in much needed money for it. Shame on you.

Saddam’s family was working with him in torture, terror, and murder. That is a horrible comparison. Axlerod’s daughter has not made any public statements that I am aware of, is not in the political movement, and suffers from a disease.

If you really meant what you posted, then you are not “uncaring and unmoved,” you’re just ignorant.

The 60 Minutes profile I saw a couple years ago was more about the daughter than the parents.   The Axelrod's, in the 60 Minutes piece I saw, travel back and forth from DC to Chicago every week to be with their daughter.  They seem to me to be responsible parents who care deeply for their daughter and what she has to go through every day.

The daughter is not institutionalized, she's not a little baby or a kid, she's a grown woman living in an independent living facility.

That Fox News is helping him do this, instead of MSNBC or CNN, is all you need to know about trusting Fox News.

If you don't like Fox News, change the damn channel and stop whining about it to complete strangers on the internet.

Agree. Diseases, Ailments, Injuries, Victims of Natural Disasters, and Death cross all boundaries, classes, politics, race, nationality, and religion. Calvary, is the lot of one and all.
