Will it still be a shootin' war if we are not allowed to shoot?

The Obama Administration has already come out for "Diplomacy"!

Unbelievable.

Can't wait to see what that is going to look like.

Obama diplomacy

Hussein said he would meet with Iran’s leader..... What’s he said about meeting with NK’s leader?

The response should have taken the form total silence for a day or two, then a few thousand JDAMs taking out the North Korean artillery emplacements that threaten Seoul, followed by Tomahawks obliterating the NK presidential residence.

Then total silence.

The missile above NAS Point Mugu was probably an accidentally fired SF Booster.

And I don’t think I believe in any of the other ‘missile’ stuff.

Bu the rest of the article is sound. NK and China are pushing as far as they can until they meet steel. China doesn’t want war, it wants its foreign policy aims and if it can get them by using NK as a sockpuppet then it will do so.

Oh, we’ll shoot. And then there will be a civilian casualty on US TV and the Code Pinkos and Hollywood action heroes who hate violence will come out screaming. We’ll set impossible rules of engagement to show the world how humane we are. Then, we’ll slowly and very expensively lose another war. (Sarcastic)Yay!

We need to pass a law that tells the world that in the future, we will use smart munitions for the first 24 hours only of any conflict and lots of dumb munitions falling out of B-52s for the next 364 days. (Perhaps we can throw Code Pinkos and Hollywood action heroes out of the bombers too.)

They can decide who long the war lasts and how bad it will hurt. People like Lil Kim need to learn that when you mess with the US, you are going to bleed. Let’s stop killing good American servicepeople in hopeless wars that we don’t have the balls to win and start killing foreigners. That’s how every great military leader in history got things done.

But my personal favorite came from State Department spokesman Mark Toner, who called North Korea’s actions “very, very bad.”

is that a "double dog" condemnation in diplospeak? Is the dreaded triple-dog "very, very, very" next?

Feel free to “shoot” all you want. Just keep me out of it.

I’ll bet he was wagging his finger sternly.

You can bet Iran is watching our response closely. If we don’t step up to the plate for SK, Iran may correctly assume we’d not defend Israel either.

There is also the concept of the art of fighting without fighting. Sow the seeds of confusion in the enemy’s midst. And so on...... Let the enemy spill its blood for their country.

I haven’t seen anything indicating we aren’t going forward with the joint exercise this weekend. If so, NK’s bluff is being called.

If NK fires on us, our bluff is called. I’m going to guess they don’t fire on us, but do fire again at relatively helpless SK targets.

Which leaves Obama swinging in the wind, again. Dictators are learning how to wage asymetrical warfare against the USA. They have learned this from Al Queda. It will continue until we find the will to use our power in a full-throated manner. Will we? I’m afraid not. For now, Bin Laden is right. We are a paper tiger.

Obama is weak, and many will pay the price for his weakness.
