Reading another bit of Palin-bashing this morning, it occurred to this poster that the approach is indistinguishable, in every way - from the Saul Alinsky mudslinging tactics of ... communists.
Coincidence?
Let's compare:
RINOS: believe in globalism COMMUNISTS: believe in globalism
RINOS: believe in big government COMMUNISTS: believe in big government
RINOS: oppose the Tea Party COMMUNISTS: oppose the Tea Party
RINOS: believe the "right wing" is scary. COMMUNISTS: believe the "right wing" is scary.
RINOS: are weenies COMMUNISTS: aren't.
Finally... One difference!
They’re called RINOS because they don’t believe in Conservative principals at all. In fact most of the are Liberals, so its no surprise that they read from Liberal sources thus repeat the same lies
What does that mean, in “free trade” land?
Thanks in advance.
I often see that expression which I believe is derived from a latin phrase used smugly like you did.
When people really would rather avoid actual discussion.
Which is why every conservative that wants to be politically involved should read Rules for Radicals.
I have not done so but will in the next month or so.
I’ve been posting seemingly forever about the Left (Commies) no matter Democrats, or RINO’s.
The Left is Left no matter what umbrella they stand under.
This is why I have posted, and posted NOT only at FR since I came here in 2004, but prior to coming to FR at another site going back to 1999 the necessity to eliminate the RINO’s, target the RINO’s, get them the “H” out of the way as they are THE major obstacle to getting control back of the Republican Party. We need that Party, or we will be compelled to start a third Party which I believe is what the Left/RINO’s want us to do.
A Third Party has every possibility of driving our cause into obscurity, and making our voices irrelevant if we cannot come up with a massive, I mean MASSIVE startup of that party, and hold public attention against all odds to the Conservative platform of that third party to make it work. It will take lots of money, and somehow some positive MSM presence that is as of today dubious to say the least.
The safest bet for Conservatism IMO is to GET RID OF THE RINO’s, and retake the Republican Party.
Considerable pressure from all directions upon the Party, and pulling the chain again to flush the stinkin’ mess from the Congressional bowl each of the next few election cycles as we just pulled the chain this year should put us back into the drivers seat. I believe that is what we must do.
You watch these newly minted Republicans from Maine and from elsewhere in Yankeeland over the next two years, they’re all RINOs mark my words. When “Scott the RINO” was elected in Mass. to the Senate, I was the first to call him another RINO to chase around the corral. I was bashed and boo’d on FR for posting that, I turned out to be 100 percent correct. You will see, never trust a Republican from the Northeast, never.
Often without so much as a thankyouverymuch, by election day+1 the Conservatives were back under the bus or out the door, and the creeping toward what the Dems have been running headlong toward continued.
Many, many FReepers and others have tried to point this phenomenon out, often to be shouted down with crap like "not voting is a vote for so-and-so", 'a third party vote is wasted', and the mien that we couldn't be "Conservative" because we would not accept a slow settling into the abyss of totalitarianism instead of the alternative, a quick plunge.
We need to keep the RINO tentacles out of the TEA party movement. Failure to do so will seriously impede our ability to network with other like-minded people in opposition to the Marxist blitzkreig against our Rights and our country. But the RINOs see us as as much a threat to their power as the Marxists, and while they'll 'tolerate' support during the election, I really doubt we can count on them in the clinches.
So we agree then - that being a globalist is a bad thing.
(after all, it’s not mudslinging, if it’s not ... mud)
A good start, grasshopper.
” Believe it or not, Alinksys tactics are actually values-neutral. Anyone can use them to advocate for any type of social change, be it conservative or liberal.”
Since alinsky is gone and (thank God) algore invented this innerwebs for all of us, we can all read about, and apply, alinsky’s rules for radicals.
I’m sure that when he wrote it he never intended for us to use the tactics against them. Kept it secret for all those years. But they DO work just as well against the left as they do against the right.
USE THEM at your pleasure and watch the little commie wannabes squirm.
Oh, I see. I missed the point entirely. Sorry about that.
I agree with you entirely. They have the same New World Order goals as each other, although I think that they differ much more than they think they do. Either way, there is no room for our kind of American Liberty in their plans.
The heck with that.
Thank God for the Tea Party and the Constitutional Conservative movement in this country. We will win, they will lose, FRiend.
I choose "not."
I hope we can prove you are wrong. The new governor of Maine is a Tea Party member. I worked on several campaigns and saw at leat two hard working small businessmen elected.
The proof will be in the state budgets of Maine and New Hampshire. If total state spending is reduced, we will be heading in the right direction!
However, I share your concern about NE Republicans (at least a good number of them)
Aren't both of your Congressmen still progressive democrats?
RINOS: Use the word “gravitas” [lack of] when describing their target.
I'll be watching. We have our work to do here in VA too. That pervert Webb has to go.
Certainly Pingree in District 1 is. In fact she is a moonbat. Michaud in District 2-more traditional blue collar Demorat.
Our two senators-Rhinos for sure.
After November 2 we have a much larger pool of elected Republicans to run for higher office.
Well, here are the rules themselves. I don't see anything in them that is something that only the liberals can do to the conservatives. Read them and see for yourself:
1. "Power is not only what you have, but what the enemy thinks you have."
2. "Never go outside the expertise of your people. When an action or tactic is outside the experience of the people, the result is confusion, fear and retreat.... [and] the collapse of communication.
3. "Whenever possible, go outside the expertise of the enemy. Look for ways to increase insecurity, anxiety and uncertainty. (This happens all the time. Watch how many organizations under attack are blind-sided by seemingly irrelevant arguments that they are then forced to address.)
4. "Make the enemy live up to its own book of rules. You can kill them with this, for they can no more obey their own rules than the Christian church can live up to Christianity."
5. "Ridicule is man's most potent weapon. It is almost impossible to counteract ridicule. Also it infuriates the opposition, which then reacts to your advantage."
6. "A good tactic is one your people enjoy."
7. "A tactic that drags on too long becomes a drag. Man can sustain militant interest in any issue for only a limited time...."
8. "Keep the pressure on, with different tactics and actions, and utilize all events of the period for your purpose."
9. "The threat is usually more terrifying than the thing itself."
10. "The major premise for tactics is the development of operations that will maintain a constant pressure upon the opposition. It is this unceasing pressure that results in the reactions from the opposition that are essential for the success of the campaign."
11. "If you push a negative hard and deep enough, it will break through into its counterside... every positive has its negative."
12. "The price of a successful attack is a constructive alternative."
13. Pick the target, freeze it, personalize it, and polarize it. In conflict tactics there are certain rules that [should be regarded] as universalities. One is that the opposition must be singled out as the target and 'frozen.'...
"...any target can always say, 'Why do you center on me when there are others to blame as well?' When your 'freeze the target,' you disregard these [rational but distracting] arguments.... Then, as you zero in and freeze your target and carry out your attack, all the 'others' come out of the woodwork very soon. They become visible by their support of the target...'
"One acts decisively only in the conviction that all the angels are on one side and all the devils on the other." (pps.127-134)
Do you think it to be more noble to go broke? The problem is not RINOs sending factories elsewhere and using every trick to undercut US workers with illegals. This is the talk of a populist Democrat.
The problem is government intervention in disrupting capitalism with their excessive regulation along with labor unions.
I would have called them faggoty globalists, but then I'm not very polite to America-haters.
