While everyone is preparing to give thanks tomorrow, one of America's most famous families, the Jolie-Pitts, have decided to sit this Thanksgiving out.
"Angelina Jolie hates this holiday and wants no part in rewriting history like so many other Americans," a friend of the actress tells me. "To celebrate what the white settlers did to the native Indians, the domination of one culture over another, just isn't her style. She definitely doesn't want to teach her multi-cultural family how to celebrate a story of murder."
Angelina has been filming her directorial debut, about a Serbian man and Bosnian woman who fall in love during the Bosnian War. Angie, always extremely sensitive to the suffering throughout the world, is filming in English and the native languages.
"Angelina gets so grossed out by Thanksgiving that she has made sure her family will not be in America this year on Thursday," an insider tells me.
And although Brad Pitt recently told 'EXTRA,' "We'll whip up a turkey somewhere," he certainly hasn't shared that plan with Angelina. A family friend tells me, "If Brad wants turkey, he will have to cook it himself. For Angie, it will be another day when America tries to rewrite history."

She’s a high-maintenance weird chick. Back in the day, she was the kind clearly worth avoiding.
Never thought she was that hot and her tatoos observed ages ago now pretty much ended any physical admiration for her. Hope everyone has a blessed day tomorrow and that includes Brangelina too whatever they happen to do.

Have you seen the tabloid headlines on her young daughter? It was awful. I had to ask my own daughter as to who the poor child belonged to. Check it out.
It seems she should be concentrating on the homefront and being thankful to the Lord for the blessings in her present day rather than focusing on stuff a few hundred years back.
Good. And while you are at it,why don't you stay in one of those hellhole cultures that you think are equivalent to America.

I did this--because someone asked me to do a brief history of Thanksgiving for a church luncheon/meeting--and I thought it would be a simple task. But suddenly, I found myself knee-deep in articles written by "modern historians" that made the Pilgrims out to be the real "turkeys" in our history--one article even claiming that the Pilgrims were responsible for the massacre of 700 Indians.
What is sad is that this version of Thanksgiving is being taught in so many schools. Even my best friend's daughter, who is a strong Christian, "hates" Thanksgiving because of this view of history, which more than likely the Left Coast schools she attended taught her. Same kind of teaching that has tried--and for the most part succeeded in--"making mock" of the celebration of Columbus Day.
One of the best articles I found on the Google site for Thanksgiving was called "Thanksgiving on the Net: Roast Bull with Cranberry Sauce." It gives a good critical and entertaining analysis of some of the "new versions" of Thanksgiving, showing the inaccuracies and biases of those "historians" who wish to use Thanksgiving as a platform to espouse their various ideological viewpoints.
Didn’t the original proclamation from George Washtington call for a day of Thanksgiving AND prayer? Was that ever amended? Either way, it makes sense that someone utterly about themselves, even a millionaire like Jolie, could feel they have nothing to be thankful for and no one to be thankful towards. The miserable woman needs prayer.
Just mention modern art, civil rights or folk music and you're in like Flynn.
