losing can sometimes be the best prize. Bristol Palin was a good loser, leaving Dancing with the Stars as a gracious lady. I hope she remembers the pride she felt when she reached so far out of her comfort zone and did so well. I hope that she doesn't turn into another media blitzed wild child.

I was saying the same thing to my husband last night. The doctor must have given her some amazing wonder drugs.
See reply 20.
It was a great reply, I love it.
I'm sure it would make me a bit testy, too.
She said it during one of the interviews on the show - I heard it myself. But she was laughing and being good natured about it. Considering the death threats she’s had, who can blame her?
As another posters (sorry, forgot who) said,
No matter what happens, BRISTOL PALIN is already a WINNER.
It is not a DANCING CONTEST.
It is a popularity contest. Even says so on their Advertising.
No. Don't forget. the week before she hurt her knee then pounded on that same knee without a hint of pain.
Oh, and before that, her neck was so bad she couldn't do the dance move in practice but come showtime, the move was in and she showed no sign of pain.
I used to think way more of Gray until I saw how she acted in practice....every week!
I like Bristol but she wasn’t the best dancer. It would have been bad for her personally to win. I like her more with the loss.
Jennifer Grey is a drama queen. By the end of last night, I really didn’t like her.
I really liked Kyle Massey and if I had my preference, he would have won, Bristol would have come in second and Grey would have come in last.
Hmmm ... seems like you have to modify it a little to make your point ... she said big, you said she said huge. And I watched the show and she said what she said in a very understated way and it was very understandable for her to say it. She has had to endure so much more than any competitor before her, at a young age. Even the announcers and judges were against her. The attacks on her were vicious in the media and blogosphere. She was in a no-win situation in the media. If she did well, the said it was only because there was a conspiracy to inflate her votes, if she did poorly they said it was because she couldn’t dance and shouldn’t have been there anyway. Yes, I believe she conducted herself with style and grace and can be forgiven for a moment of honest response. You, on the other hand, would have been perfectly poised under the same circumstances, I’m sure. Of course, taking an undeserved shot at a 20-year old online is wwwayyy classy ...
Now we all know what Patrick Swayze was talking about when he said Jennifer Grey was a pain in the ass while filming Dirty Dancing! I’ll never be able to watch that movie again! Can’t stand Jennifer Grey after the way she acted!
It was inevitable. Jennifer Grey is a dancer, she was a ringer.
Bristol Palin, Penn Jillette, Buzz Aldrin, Steve Wozniak, Steve-O — these are famous people who otherwise have no business on a dance floor. They are the epitome of the pro/amateur combo that the show is supposed to be about.
Easier to see that from the outside, than it is the inside.
At that age, did you know everything ? Have the wisdom that maturity and EXPERIENCE bring? Did you do everything your parents told you?
I agree with you that we all hope she learns from the experience, but as he is the father of the child, there will always be some interaction.
I thought the remark was hilarious and too true. Hubs and I even played it back so we could hear it again. Bristol inherited her mother’s grit! YOU GO GIRL!
Did anyone else notice that last night, Gray slipped a bit, got off balance, and sort of fell into her partner. It was fast but I noticed it and Derek started laughing when he caught her.
At best, they should have scored 9's. Not one judge mentioned that she lost her balance (as she had done before coming out of turns).
Agree with you 100%. Jennifer could not have been dancing with a ruptured disk...please. I like your line up the best
I must have missed the part where someone twisted her arm and forced her onto the show. It was her decision. Having chosen to jump head-first into the public forum then she has to be ready to accept the comments, good and bad, that are directed towards her.
Yeah ok.
I consider people like you as gnats. Buzzing around annoying people and not really contributing anything.
Gracious? Lady? What kind of gracious lady says winning would be a big middle finger to those who don’t like her mother?
It was a dancing competition not a venue to payback political enemies.
