A WOMAN was trapped in her bathroom for three weeks after her door lock broke and her nocturnal pleas for help were ignored by neighbours.

The woman emerged in a "very weakened" state when rescue workers, alerted by neighbours worried because they had not seen her for some time, broke into her home in the Paris suburb of Epinay-sous-Senart to extricate her.

Pretty difficult for a 69 year old woman.

It’s called “take a nail file and push the door latch in.”

It was a woman in the bathroom.......duh!

I was thinking of the opening lines from one of my favorite songs from the 80s

Mirror in the bathroom
Please talk free
The door is locked
Just you and me...

That’s why you never underestimate a woman. If she isn’t the typical woman you’ll be a dead man.

Also, I suppose for women, being stuck in the bathroom is probably the best room in the house to be stuck in...we already know for men it’d be in the rec room with the tv. Might even hae a fridge or bar in there. Guys might even ask to be stuck in the rec room. “Please let the door be jammed, please let the door be jammed”...

Even worse, when it was all over she was still French.

We also know she wasn’t a french muslim. That door would’ve been blown off its hinges.

Certain foods might have accomplished that had she known the predicament she would have been in.

I had a nose and throat surgery that left me unable to eat anything for 3 weeks. For the first 4 days, I could barely tolerate the pain of drinking water or even taking the pain meds (liquid cocaine).

I had my tonsils out when I was in my 20's. I never knew such excruciating pain as that.

Childbirth was easier to recover from and I had c-sections.

Credit card.

I visiting a close friend and got there before they got home so we were just going to wait in the warm car. However, my alternator went that night and my car had died in their driveway, and we were locked out, in the winter. We tried the doors to see if any were unlocked but they weren’t.

I said to my other friend I was with, *If this were the movies, I’d whip my credit card out (and took it out), slide it into the door frame (grabbed the doorknob and slipped the credit card into where the latch was) and open...... (the door actually popped open) ... the.... door......

Neither of us could believe it because we had tried the door earlier and it was locked fast.

Later that evening, I tried it again and never could repeat that.

But neighbours in the apartment block said they thought someone was doing home repair work and launched a petition to find out who it was and have it stopped.

Actually, from the article, they finally got annoyed with the noise. Took them three weeks.

I'm glad she made it out.

Well...it’s France...and, as you said, she’s still French.

Not that there’s anything wrong with that. lol
