Lionel Richie - All Night Long.

Wow, I might have been there with you, I saw him there on Valentines Day....1980'ish??
He just got married, in Vegas of all places and was performing there before going on his honeymoon.
The Universal Amlitheatre was a great place to see concerts, saw Phil Collins, Tom Petty, Genesis, Linda Ronstadt
Saw him up here too, about a year or two ago at Boulder Station, he is here again now at I think the Orleans....excellent performer.
More like ‘77/’78 for that Mason/Money show. Saw the Blues Brothers there opening up for Steve Martin around that same time. ...the “King Tut” tour. Great venue.
How could you forget How Can I Refuse You?
OMG! That’s genius. I really did LOL.
I have very eclectic tastes, Pergolesi, Palestrina, Byrd, Britten, Anglican chant.
I am also a classical cello fanatic.
Jacqueline Dupre’, Steven Isserlis, Mstislav Rostropovich
but I love some of

Arrgh, don't recall that...I think I saw Ronstat there around '78 though....you're right, it was a great venue....actually it still is, even though it's covered now.
Back in those days, I dated a lady who was the executive secretary to the VP of MCA's video distribution, I got to see a lot of the goings on there as well as had primo seating for concerts.....ah, the days!
As I said too many to post them all. LOL They are the best.

There are many different ways to boogie.
The passion of this music made me sit up and take notice 45 years ago.
Yep, those were great times. We had to go see good concerts to take our minds off the fact that Jimmy Carter was President and the economy was in severe stagflation mode.
Terrific music by the Kingston Trio. Talented
Did somebody say "Paralyzed"
You know, when Carter was POTUS I was just a kid. I worked at a gas station when we had to turn people away with less then half a tank or if they had an even plate on an odd day....I just trodded on like there were no worries.....by the time I was 20-21 I was making good money as an office manager/sales rep for a die casting company whilst the Ayatollah was overtaking Iran.
I guess my point is that even when everything for that time was looking grim, it didn't effect me like it does now that I'm aware of what is happening.......good Lord, I sure miss those days!
I could really get going on classical music, especially cello
