Not only am I in favor of REAL profiling, this profiling occurs right now.

In Israel, not here.

Yes, really. The 9/11 terrorists used boxcutters and relied on an unaware public. That method won't fly anymore.

You vastly overestimate the bravery of the average person.

So now the enemy knows its best chance at a successful terrorist attack on an airliner is to use bombs, either stored in check-in luggage or on their person. And as I mentioned, most airports overseas are far less stringent security-wise than our own, so it stands to reason that that's where they'd board their flight (bound for the U.S.).

How would you stop someone from boarding a flight from an international location, flying to the United States, assembling an underwear bomb here, and then taking a Domestic flight to set it off. If you leave a hole in Domestic screening, that is exactly what will happen. Do you think it impossible to assemble such a bomb IN the United States?

As others have correctly noted, psychological/racial/religious profiling the world over is the best way to combat the threat. ...but we can start by doing it here.

Contrary to what you are told, the United States uses profiling as well. What some people here seem to want is a different, less effective version of profiling that fits their neat preconceived notions that fail to take into account how extensive Islam has become and how many different types of individuals Islamic terrorists have access to carry out a bombing.

Prove it. Prove that profiling doesn't occur here right now. Remember, we are talking about REAL profiling, not the profiling that fits the amateur notions of profiling.

I don’t particularly care about those that fly. They should sign a waver that, yes, they could be blown up and in exchange they won’t have to deal with any security at all.

It’s the people on the ground that I’m worried about. If you’re foolish enough to get on a plane you already know your life is in danger. Those that don’t are also in danger due to the egotism of those that do though.

By watching Tv and garbage from Hollywood - the public supports Obama and these EVIL people. She will be smeared and attacked endlessly because she tells the truth.

This will probably insult your CAIR sensibilities but here are the types of people that should be profiled:

Did you forget about flight 93? ...and that was before the populace was educated and realized were are at war. It seems you underestimate the bravery of the average American.

Prove it. Prove that profiling doesn't occur here right now

Have you ever flown El Al? I have, and the screening/profiling procudures are infinitely more comprehensive than in the U.S. You want proof, then fly to Israel and see for yourself.

Governor Palin has weighed in on the TSA lunacy via Twitter:

Law enforcemnt profiles individuals/suspects when seeking info 2 prevent or deal w/other crimes; Why can't this be done @ airports 2 prevent?

TSA: why politically incorrect 2 "profile" anyone re: natl security issues?we profile individuals/suspects in other situations! profile away

This whole "enhanced pat down" episode is, as Governor Palin correctly implies out, an example of political correctness run amuck.

Because this administration refuses to use simple common sense and profile terrorists like everyone else in the world, we're reduced to frisking nuns and screaming 3-year old children so...

Non-reponsive and ignorant. El Al does not limit their profiling in such a manner and neither should we. We should have at least the same level of security screening that El Al has in place... you apparently want less for certain groups... apparently not realizing that there are muslim terrorists in the group that you want to exclude from screening. You are ignorant. Leave security up to the professionals.

This isn’t proof of anything. All you have shown is that everyone has to go through some sort of screening. Random people get more extensive screening. However, there is profiling that goes on as well. It just doesn’t occur in the way you think it should. Once again please show that profiling does not occur now. Do you even know what profiling is?

Only an ignorant moron would respond as you have. I find it hilarious that a supposed conservative resorts to name-calling and emotional reaction rather than logic or reason. Are you actually suggesting that all muslims look the same? Really? Do you really think that there are no european or american muslims? How would your ignorant profile catch them? Give me a real rational response that demonstrates logical thought. Explain your system of profiling and how it would catch people who don’t fit the profile.

The only logical system to follow is the one established by El Al since they have proven that it works. Your system is not a system at all.

First, absence of evidence is not evidence of absence.

Second, it is a waste of time because we are ignoring the actual threat.

Third, you seem to be LEO, or wanna be, who has seasonal time
to contribute quite a bit to FR, defending police, discussing law,
appear to be a Rove-defender, usually haughty,
avoid answering others, deflecting using questions,
and a relative newbie from Penn.
Probably would profile you as: no threat,
has good abilities and probable ideas.
