I love heights and would do this in a NY minute. I’ve climbed a lot of high objects and places, but never a 1,700’+ tower.

actually, the Al Qaeda #3 “operations commander” position is the world’s deadliest job — they all die on the job and a lot of them don’t seem to last more than a year or two once they get the job

Child’s play......Seriously though, I didn’t like the way he was attaching his safety lanyard as he was going up the last 30 ft or so. It could have easily slipped off the foot peg he was attaching it to. Instead, he should have opened the carabiner and put it around the pole the pegs are attached to. Just sayin’.

I’m terrified of heights but I’d love to do this.

Crane is small and goes up with it. There was an awesome show on a while back about changing the antenna on one of the super tall towers, I get the heebee geebees just thinking about it!

*laughing* I know what you mean ... I’ve suffered vertigo since 1970, but through the taking of some natural essential oils (and having acupuncture, some minerals, etc.), I’ve gotten a lot better. I was even able to watch this video when previously I would get an attack of severe vertigo watching leaves on a tree move in the wind. But still and all, I’m not applying anytime soon for this job ...

Yeah, and less time to regret all the stuff you forgot to do.

Thank you. That is one of those things that I have always wondered about. I figured it had to be pretty simple, but now I know.
