I think this is the world deadliest job.
(Excerpt) Read more at youtube.com ...
I love heights and would do this in a NY minute. I’ve climbed a lot of high objects and places, but never a 1,700’+ tower.
i watched about 5 seconds and then couldn’t watch any longer... heights freak me out.
actually, the Al Qaeda #3 “operations commander” position is the world’s deadliest job — they all die on the job and a lot of them don’t seem to last more than a year or two once they get the job
I know tons of guys and gals (all climbers) who would love this job.
LOL! Yeah my hands got sweaty just looking at it.
I would not be a good recruit for this job!
I was wondering the same thing.
Child’s play......Seriously though, I didn’t like the way he was attaching his safety lanyard as he was going up the last 30 ft or so. It could have easily slipped off the foot peg he was attaching it to. Instead, he should have opened the carabiner and put it around the pole the pegs are attached to. Just sayin’.
Crane is small and goes up with it. There was an awesome show on a while back about changing the antenna on one of the super tall towers, I get the heebee geebees just thinking about it!
Sherpa-—Everest/K2. nuff said.
Those will sure get the TSA guy's attention.
.
Helicopters are the easy way.
You are right. I was thinking the same thing. This guy is nuts and has a death wish.
“The deadliest job: Helen Thomas’gynecologist”.
Diet coke spewed on computer, wireman. :-)
*laughing* I know what you mean ... I’ve suffered vertigo since 1970, but through the taking of some natural essential oils (and having acupuncture, some minerals, etc.), I’ve gotten a lot better. I was even able to watch this video when previously I would get an attack of severe vertigo watching leaves on a tree move in the wind. But still and all, I’m not applying anytime soon for this job ...
“at least from 60 feet, you don’t have as much to think about”...LOL
Yeah, and less time to regret all the stuff you forgot to do.
Thank you. That is one of those things that I have always wondered about. I figured it had to be pretty simple, but now I know.
