I’m not fond of them either. I just don’t fear them. I understand where you’re coming from though. I’m surrounded by 29 million socialists! I’ve had to defend myself daily for twenty years. I guess I get my back up easy.
I’m certain there’s several retreads here and without IP information, I can’t vouch for this new member either.
I can state that he’s not caused any trouble at all, unlike several I could name.
It’s pretty sickening to me when these threads turn into hunts for others.

I thought I started lurking here around the time of The Contract With America. I guess it was around the time of the Florida recount. I don’t get Fox or anything so I probably came here to find out what was going on.
BTW It’s tough posting here. Do posts that are sent to you get there right away? There seems to be some lag time.
I don't know if fear is the right word. I would say that Freepers need to be cautious. There were some racial accusations against FR when Bam became Prez that involved one of his daughters and a lefty site. A lefty blogger/reporter signed on, openly, to discuss FR's racial "sins". The Mod talked to him on the thread and handed him his butt in a bucket. But wikipedia still has the original lies on their site about FR and will not correct them.
We need to be watchful.
Yup. That planted crap is still listed on wiki as legitimate. I loved watching the Mod zing Perry on the thread. It was good.
FR seems to be stuck in a time warp. The posts are being posted 10 minutes ahead of actual time by their clock.
I believe that the post time is also PDT by default. If you want your time zone to show, you have to set it, IIRC. It’s been a long time since I did so I don’t remember exactly.

There is a lag time for newbies. Posts are sometimes reviewed first. After some of the stuff that's happened it's necessary.

As we should. This next election process will be huge. I sure hope we have viable candidates this time. McCain was horrible! I can’t see Mitt the Mo-Mo taking this so I’ll hope for a really strong newcomer. I’m STILL watching Palin w/o an opinion, as of yet. JM2CW
A crash earlier this year took out at least one server and slimed some programs. Jim said one of them has to totally be rewritten. I've forgotten which one.

Romney would be the Ken Doll from hell running as the Republican candidate and I think he is a disaster anyway beyond the points Jim’s site is making about him.
Man you don’t know how to read. I said I’d become disillusioned with politics and stopped paying attention, but was re energized by the emergence of the Tea Party. I began studying politics/philosophy/economics around 1990.
