I’m not fond of them either. I just don’t fear them. I understand where you’re coming from though. I’m surrounded by 29 million socialists! I’ve had to defend myself daily for twenty years. I guess I get my back up easy.
I don't know if fear is the right word. I would say that Freepers need to be cautious. There were some racial accusations against FR when Bam became Prez that involved one of his daughters and a lefty site. A lefty blogger/reporter signed on, openly, to discuss FR's racial "sins". The Mod talked to him on the thread and handed him his butt in a bucket. But wikipedia still has the original lies on their site about FR and will not correct them.
We need to be watchful.

The people whose faces you're getting in are old timers with a good solid track record of conservative posting. Attacking someone like that, being a noob is not the way to win friends and influence people. It does not establish you as a conservative from the start and does give people the suspicion that you're a troll or retread.
Nobody is impressed with claimed credentials, either. Posting history is what establishes a persons credibility here.
