I dunno... Skyline Drive is awfully pretty this time of the year... Well known as the most beautiful Drive East of the Rockies.

10) Don’t be the only black guy in a condo full of white people. You’ll die.

9) Having a dog will only save you if you’re in a Roland Emmerich movie—NOT a Roland Emmerich ripoff.

8) You can use the same body design as the Independence Day aliens if you paint them black and replace the face with a sideways mouth.

7) Make sure the lighter works before you hit the gas.

6) Aliens bent on planetary genocide will nonetheless spare a woman only a couple of weeks pregnant.

5) Even if you’re facing annihilation, it’s okay to bitch your boyfriend out when you find pictures of him kissing another girl.

4) If you’re terrified of aliens seeing you through the giant penthouse windows, don’t go into the hall. Just pull the blinds or tape up bed sheets (not conspicuous at all!) and hang out as you normally would.

3) When you’re spying on other apartments with a telescope, you have no right to complain about what you see there.

2) Looking at a nuclear blast through a telescope will not fry your eyes. Nor will the shockwave and heat ripple from said nuclear blast do any noticeable harm to you.

1) Sometimes the aliens win. HELL YEAH!

I thought it was good, clean, fun Science Fiction. I wasn’t expecting anything more than that. If you were looking for an academy award winner, you probably had some unrealistic expectations walking into the theater. I liked the CGI and I thought the whole concept of ripping out folks brains and transferring them into other “entities” was interesting in a twisted Descartes “brain in a bottle” kind of way. It was pretty clear that this movie was just setting up part two which promises to offer a whole lot more sci fi action. I’m sure I’ll watch part 2.

Just an interesting “take” on this movie from Hal Lindsey-—(I know many people don’t like him)-—but, he brought up an interesting point: “Skyline” might make it easier for those “left behind” to THINK they understand why so many people just disappeared. Aliens (and not God).

It’s interesting to think about this scenario, with so many UFO stories coming out in the media, of late.

I went to see Red starring Bruce Willis, John Malkovich, and Helen Mirren, and Morgan Freeman. I liked it.

There was definitely a philosophical aspect to the movie that involved God, the soul, and the rapture which might acount for the low ratings the movie receives here at FR.

OK, I just watched an English version - it was OK,let me put it this way - Battleship Earth was way better.... as a ‘Dexter’ fan, every time I saw ‘Batista’(the apartment manager), I just kept wondering “what would Dexter do?”

Looks like they’ll do a sequel and won’t need to re-hire all the TV/Cable stars to be in it.....but what will they call it? Skyline:Beauty and the Beast?

We liked RED so much, we went to see it again.

My wife is not a ‘movie person’ - she pushed for the second viewing. It was entertaining as all get out..

And of course, Bruce Willis was just being...Bruce.

I've been wanting to go see it again, too, actually.

I am more of a Fantasy Genre movie goer, but I loved Red. It had crazy romance, rekindled romance, sacrifice, the just because you're paranoid doesn't mean they'r not out to get you character who was pretty crazy, tons of action, things that go boom, jack booted thugs. corrupt politicians.

There was something for everyone in that movie. I loved Helen Mirren as the Martha Stewart meets skilled Assasin.

My wife thought it so funny that (up to now) a proper Brit actress seemed so adept at firing an MP5 or a Ma Duce.

It did seem to have everything....
