VANITY: Troll Hunting Season
11.15.2010 | Me, myself, and I

Posted on 11/15/2010 2:36:11 PM PST by Third Person

I know, I know, another vanity, but...

I've been lurking here since '03, [and signed up in '08] and I can't remember another time when so many trolls were on FR.

Am I off here, or or is FR directly over the target?

BTW MOD, DON'T ZOT ME!

Guess what, buddy. You don’t own FR. I don’t care if you don’t like Catholic threads. Catholics have as much right to post as you. If your only objection to Catholic threads is ‘waah theres to many of them’, then keep yer arse out and stick to the baptist caucus or whatever it is you belong to.

Guess what, “idiot”. It is the true and only Church. If you had an iota of sense you’d drop your watered down Christianity and become Catholic.

Ya got me! I’ve been here twelve years, but now I must come out. I’m actually a troll.

“Trolls” is actually an old net term from w-a-y back, where people troll threads throwing out inflammatory rhetoric hoping to snag people into a flame war.

I'm on one unmoderated group where there are some very educated and intelligent people in flame wars way worse than here. It's hilarious.

(Gasp!) Really?

How could! We loved you like a FRbother! Why why why! <=(

At this point, you stutter and perhaps cry a bit and say something like 'No no, its not my fault. Really, I had to, but people change...'

I don’t see that as convincing Him. On a side note, did you notice that whenever Jesus speaks to or of his mother it is as if she is not his mother, but just another person that His flesh knows personally?

I agree. I also know that I have a right (as do you) to state my opinion here. That is all I was doing. :)

Usually I ignore them as I ignore posts about news stories I’m not interested in. However, I thought this thread was a good place to post my opinion on the whole thing.

And isn’t that what threads on FR are all about - everyone sharing their opinion on a subject? And now I have yours. ;)

That’s pretty black and white if you ask me. Even Shiites ask Mary for intercession.

>>Even Shiites ask Mary for intercession.<<

That really does not improve your case. ;)

Protestants don’t. They consider Jesus to be their intercessor.

Actually, replace “protestants” with “Christians”, since it is a key part of what Jesus taught. I have a personal relationship with Him. What do I need an intercessor for? Hey, if you’re the boss’ kid, you don’t need to go through HR.

If you were sitting next to Mary at a wedding would you ask her to ask Jesus to do something for the couple?

No. He made it pretty clear that it would be meaningless for me to go there when this happened:

Matthew 12:46-50
While Jesus was still talking to the crowd, his mother and brothers stood outside, wanting to speak to him. Someone told him, “Your mother and brothers are standing outside, wanting to speak to you.”

He replied to him, “Who is my mother, and who are my brothers?” Pointing to his disciples, he said, “Here are my mother and my brothers. For whoever does the will of my Father in heaven is my brother and sister and mother.”
