The man behind the movie realized he was running out of time so he rushed this into production.
Hope it’s in 3-D.
Bump
I’ve neither heard of nor sen any of the actors, nor seen almost anything any of them has ever been in.
This should be a bomb.
Interesting casting, not sure what they saw of Dagny in Taylor Schilling. Most of the cast seems to be B and C list at best.
I’m listening to Atlas Shrugged now on audio. I started reading the novel, but never could get far before I had to put it down for weeks at a time. Now I listen in the car when I travel. I hate to get to my destination because I want to stay in the car and hear more.
Thanks, I look forward to seeing it. I wonder if Taylor Schilling is related to Curt - they live in nearby towns in MA.

I hope there’s a cameo from Bagpipe Cat.

I can imagine Satan’s little pets getting moist over this movie.
Can’t wait!
Pretty cool, I’m excited.
In my lifetime thankfully Madonna didn’t end up as Dagny on the Big screen.
The full cast and credits listing doesn’t have the Ragnar Danneskjold character listed, maybe the whole sub-plot was cut out?

Huh. I thought I heard a long time ago they were looking at Angie Jolie to play Dagney. Too pricey?
An Atlas Shrugged movie has been off and on again many times. Hope it is on and done right. A trilogy would be the best way to present the book without massive editing.
There certainly are many great potential cinematic scenes in the book; the first run of the train over the bridge of Reardon Steel; the destruction of the railroad tunnel; Dagny’s crash landing in Galt’s Gulch; Dagny meeting the ‘bum’ and former employee of the 20’th Century Motor Car company on board her railcar.
Since the book was written in the late 50’s, and does involve a lot of trains and train travel; it would be kind of cool if they gave the move a sort of retro-future look of the 1950’s.
I hope it’s not some liberal playing Hugh Akston. Clint is probably a little old for me.
They jack with it. It’ll be ruined for anyone that likes the book and pointless to anyone who hasn’t read it.
Actually the casting looks pretty good.
I don’t know any of those people, so I don’t have any preconceived biases of their politics.
They look to be all pretty young, or maybe I’m so old now that it just seems that way.
I hope they pull it off as a cast, and don’t screw it up.
When is it due in theaters?.............
