Take a look at this year's candidates (listed in alphabetical order) and give them your rating though TIME's editors who choose the actual Person of the Year reserve the right to disagree.
Some of the candidates included are:

* Glenn Beck
* The Chilean Miners
* Arne Duncan
* Lady Gaga
* Hu Jintao
* LeBron James

I nominate The TEA Party......
Both Glenn and Sarah had the biggest impact on the country, and potentially the world, of anyone on that list
Not they they would be honored for it... Just vilified
I agree with TP but am glad Sarah and Glenn made the list
Nancy Pelosi singlehandedly created a wave this year. She should get it.
Time? Are they still in print?

Time won’t risk being thought of as racist. You now know who it will be.
don’t care
Someone cares?
George Soros
Jim Thompson.
Me too... I like Tea Party
A more interesting question is how many more men of the year will there be before Time folds.
My gosh... do people still care about some random pick of an almost entirely non-existent so-called magazine? Time Person of the Year was something in the past. Not today, when every magazine or news outlet makes its own “... of the year”.
Who gives a crap? They jumped the shark in my opinion with that horrible “you” edition, or whatever it was. You know, the one that showed a picture of a computer. Defeats the whole purpose.

It’s so obviously the Tea Party that this is going to be Media Bias 101 when it comes out. Even if they go down that road, they’ll probably individualize it with Beck or Palin and try to pin their high negative ratings on the Tea Party.
they haven’t given enough attention to Obama in the past, maybe it should be him
Tea Party
