Just found out that grandson Gerry was picked to be sworn in to the FNG at halftime, next Sunday.
Life is just rushing on too fast for me, LOL.

The Army had a swearing in ceremony at a Detroit Tigers game I attended this summer.
I will be there I will be the one standing and applauding and chanting U.S.A after they are sworn in , you must be proud

I served with some of the good old boys in a FA Bde, 2 bns of SP 155s, the 1st and 2nd of the 116th FA, the Gator Guns.
They had a cool patch, 2 gators facing in, tails up with jets of flame from their snouts crossing in the center.
The other bns were two towed 105 bns from the Puerto Rican NG (raadio cheque, ober) and my Army Reserve bn, 7/9 FA M110A2 SP 8” guns, that was a big brigade, when we did a TOT mission we really brought smoke.

I think his basic starts Feb. 15. After that he is scheduled for computer school for 8 months. I told him to go for something he can make a civilian living with. He already has an excellent computer background.
