I am just amazed that anyone would feel a need to demostrate such a simple concept in such an odd way.It's not so simple in a lot of people's minds these days. I'm convinced that the food police are convincing millions of people that certain types of foods make you fat rather than the number of calories you ingest/burn.
This experiment could be very enlightening to a lot of otherwise misled people.

It was in the context this being a slap at Chewbaca's (FLOTUS) screeds concerning obesity among the "poor" being caused by "food deserts" - i.e. no "good" stores with "good" food existing the ghetto.

You said what I was going to say. People are deluded into thinking "fat makes you fat", then "carbs make you fat". Calories ingested that are not burned make you fat. You body knows how to make fat from protein, from carbohydrates and from fat. This chart shows how it all goes around in a big circle. Each dot represents an enzymatic reaction.
