DWTS Season 11 enters its eighth week of competition tonight (Nov 8) and thus, the Bristol Palin enigma continues.
'Bristol the Pistol' has taken aim & shot down better qualified & much more fiercely talented candidates in her quiet wake to win the coveted mirror ball trophy.
But the burning question remains: how does Palin continue to linger on the competition & stir the ire of many DWTS fans who view the show as a talent (not popularity) contest?
While continually scoring at or near the bottom of the Judge's leader board since the onset of Season 11, Palin has somehow beat out competitors who have outscored and outperformed her, i.e., Florence Henderson, Rick Fox, and even Mike The Situation Sorrentino who exited the show at Week 4.
But what is really at the crux of the Bristol Palin matter is not the fact that Palin continues to receive enough votes to stay on DWTS. That part is evident.
The real question is why & where those votes come from. That is, are those votes generated by Sarah Palin supporters, or are they cast because people really like Bristol?
Hopefully, it's because people truly like 'Alaska's Favorite Daughter', find her refreshing and just want to see her win because of who she is.

Thanks for the info.
The little girl appears to be about 7, and looks just like Jennifer. So she was 43, having her first baby?
I remember hating the movie “Flashdance” because Jennifer’s character’s father was the abortionist. The plot line propagandized very heavily for abortion.
However, that aside, she danced well then and dances well now.
He was already hacked off at this tweet from Carrie Ann.
“I do have to judge everyone the same and part of what I judge on is based on their own abilities. Sometimes when someone is GREAT and ... they make a smaller falter, it shows up more obviously than when someone is not great all around,” Carrie Ann Tweeted earlier in the week, referring in particular to Jennifer Grey and Derek Hough, who landed in their lowest spot on the leaderboard after a few missteps
It is really a wonderful time if you enjoy the outdoors. What’s not to like? No A/C, but had to use a little heat.
“What should she have said?”(Bristol)
Well, maybe anything but telling the judges, voting fans and the entire TV audience that you “hate” any of the dances. :-)
I've got to go fold clothes. Later.
I just finished watching the vid. I'm a gal so I can say this. Bristol has nice legs :-)
I liked the dance. For some reason, even though I watched the vid a few times, I wasn't paying much attention to her outfit. I was mesmerized by her dance steps. That's where the focus was. I think she did great and has improved incredibly. She seem comfortable enough now to use head movements for expression. She's no longer stiff. That last twirl was a WOW!
ROTFLOL!
I like her honesty. She’s just plain spoken like her mom. It must be a Palin thing.
My favorite will always be McIntosh, just cannot get really excited about most of the others.
My Father worked the Apple Orchards especially planting new trees when the Steelworkers were on strike so he could support his very large Family.
We always had an abundance of the “drops”. Yummy. My sister told me she sent me some today. I can smell them 1500 miles away. LOL!
OOPS! Of course, I meant the movie “Dirty Dancing.”
CRS’ing here, a little bit.
Thanks for the link. I wonder if anyone will say something about the incident tomorrow night...
Is your whole family freezing up in NY state while you’re basking in the sun?...:)
God help someone with no experience that gets the thug treatment from him.
Touche!
Insurance for failure.
Goodnight! See you tomorrow night!
I do not think he is “gay”, he may be a switch hitter because he seems to get turned on by the sexy man /woman dancers routines,
Yeah, there was a lot of publicity accusing her but not much when they found out if wasn’t her fault. That’s what she’s talking about when she talks about her fans sticking with her.
Night doc. My Steelers had better pull this game off!
