Vanity: Need help with FR searching

I am trying to locate some posts I made in Oct/Nov '08.

Is there an efficient way to do this? I have never managed to figure out FR's search function, and there doesn't seem to be any help info for it.

Trying to find some posts from around the election 08 when I said that in a year or so, just about everyone would hate Obama's guts.
