The trip will cost taxpayers 200 million a day for 10 days.

The Obama's will rent the entire Hotel Taj, 570 rooms.

Those numbers always needed to be taken sceptically - they came from Indian media citing an un-named Indian state goverment official. This is like some un-named bureaucrat in the Maryland state government giving us numbers on the British PM's last trip to the US. And though I don't doubt that the trip is going to be expensive, $200M/day sounds unbelievable, even in our current economy.
