It's time for the GOP to step up to the plate, and do the right thing.

Ms. O'Donnell is a star. She's got guts. She's got nerves of steel. And she's got millions of enthusiastic supporters all across the great nation.

Time to start treating her as such.

Do the right thing Steele. Offer your seat to the lady.

Get back to me when she figures out what the 14th Amendment is.

A great idea. She can report on how the NRSC stole money
from her campaign after USING her to raise the money.

Not the best choice. It is one thing for her to be a voice among a group, however, a political party is like a Fortune 500 company with major financial and personnel issues to consider. Executive experience is a must. Finance, marketing, PR, or legal backgrounds would be highly desired.

Unfortunately, her resume is pretty light. I could see Palin taking that role or someone like Michael Williams.

You’ve got to be kidding. I was a good team player. After an initial outburst, I got wise and held my tongue (and my keyboard) about COD until the results were in. My instincts tell me I should wait until tonight is over to say my peace. But this crap has got to stop. Seriously. It’s pathetic.

She couldn’t do any worse than Steele. She has smarts and star power. It would be a good place for her to wait for the next race.

Why all the Michael Steele bashing? He just fired Pelosi and led the GOP to its biggest win since 1938. What more do you want him to do? Win 100 seats? Basically no one under 90 has any recollection of a GOP win of this size.

It’s like you want to fire a coach who just won the Super Bowl

No. No. No.

I wanted O’Donnell’s race more than any other but NOT because she was a good candidate - because she was a BAD candidate. A victory in DE would have been a significant repudiation of Obama and his policies.

But that’s the only reason I wanted it. She’s OK, but she’s no Marco Rubio, for example.

Steele has to go, but O'Donnell is not the one to replace him, I'm sure. I just hope it isn't some Romney acolyte that replaces Steele.

I think she’d make for a terrific actress on the Lifetime channel, or perhaps selling stuff on QVC.

What on earth is wrong with some of you people? It's as if you don't understand political realities at all. O'Donnell just utterly failed to even compete in Delaware, and you want to make her the face of the Republican Party?

It's like you and others simply refuse to see the obvious. She is not someone Americans are going to take seriously, and is widely regarded as something of a joke. Why on earth would we want her to be the face of the Republican Party?

If anything, tonight should remind the dreamers just how hard it is to win over the American people. We have a terrible economy right now, and the Republican party was still unable to win by the kind of margins many people were predicting. We need GOOD candidates, and a GOOD face for the party - not someone like COD who is damn near a clownish figure who has no chance of pulling independent and mushy middle voters over to our side.

Resigning is too good for the treacherous wimp. He should be horsewhipped on the steps of Republican HQ and ridden out of town on the same rail as an equally tarred and feathered Karl Rove.

These two cost us the Senate in this race. No guts. No integrity. No competence. No balls. No support for Rossi, Angle, O'Donnell, and a host of others.

Need a job, Mike? Get your vacant face on the Uncle Ben's Box. Understand they hire for color.
