Election Week has arrived, and with it we hope ~~real hope ~~ the beginning of a return to sanity.
So many races to follow after many days of effort.
I think that with very few exceptions we can be proud of our side and the campaigns waged on principle and ideas, and many small contributions from many different sources. It's been amazing!
Lets do it!!!

Question here: how many total Senate seats are up for grabs?
Some think pubbies may gain 10 seats but that would only give them a 50 seat majority, right? Is there any way the pubbies could get a 60 seat majority? I know, unlikely, but is it even possible? I’m thinking that would depend on the total up for grabs.

It’s real quiet here this morning. Everyone must be voting!
One Third of the senate is elected every two years plus there are some special elections (Joe Biden’s seat) I think the total is 37 up this year.
Polls haven’t opened here yet (unless they changed the hours while I was out of the country). I think they open in 1 hour. I will be taking the youngest to campus and I’ll vote on the way home.

So. It is remotely possible for the pubbies to gain control of both chambers. Let it be so! And, if You please, with the ability to override a veto.

I’d love it...but so many cards stacked against. Like Washington State with mail in ballots -— how can we counter that ??

Alabama polls open at 0800.
Our machines must be 'spot on' accurate, because the lady in front of me, feeding her completed ballot into the machine......had to keep feeding it over and over because it was being rejected.
Finally, the poll worker took a quick glance at her ballot.....said "you over voted on #4" .....and sent her to do it all over again....(& we had a very large ballot, front & back)
I worried that mine might be rejected only because I had accidentally made a straight mark by my pen on the side of the paper..... but my ballot was accepted, and she said it was fine.
PRAY.... FOLKS.... LIKE YOU'VE NEVER PRAYED BEFORE!!!!!--Our nation hangs in the balance.

Another question: we’re all busy people and can’t be glued to the returns all evening. When are YOU going to start watching the returns either on the ‘net or whatever?
