I’m not a Mac Zombie, but my wife did give me a MacBook Air as a gift two years ago and I have to say it’s an awesome machine to tote around, great for airplanes, hotel rooms etc.
I use it mainly for writing and web surfing. Alas if it had a PC operating system I could use it for serious work, but it makes for a good stopgap when I need a computer in an unusual location once I get past the usual Mac frustrations.

Once again, Apple hardware guys have outdone themselves on usability smarts. I'd pay that price for the hardware alone, and load software of my choice. Kudos to the hardware design team.
