The 'Green' Economy of the Third Reich
Accuracy in Media ^ | 10/28/2010 | Mark Musser

Posted on 10/28/2010 1:45:44 PM PDT by Olympiad Fisherman

The Nazis, of course, needed money to fund their national regeneration program. With a very fragile German economy to draw from, they were thus forced to make some important concessions to big business and industry that many Nazis considered a betrayal of their values. Moreover, the Nazi economy was flying by the seat of its pants throughout the 1930’s and 40’s. Nazi hatred for international Jewish capitalism placed them on a suicidal path of national autarky, economic isolation and destruction. Weighed down with war reparations, a weak economy, and lacking natural resources that had to be imported from abroad, the Nazi economy became an ersatz economy. Synthetic substitutes produced locally at home had to be found to fill in the gaping holes. That the chemical giant IG Farben was at the heart of the Nazi economy should come as no surprise. Producing synthetics became vital to make up for their import restrictions. Their Aryan biology/ecology thus created a government controlled ‘local only’ economy that was doomed to fail ...

It’s not that liking a clean environment is bad. Or liking your race. Liking and love aren’t the problem. It’s the willingness to kill and lie to get the clean environment or the good of the “race.” Ignoring God’s law and putting creature and creation as the ultimate and only good with the State as the means to the utopia. Utopians suck.

What needs to take place is to remove the fascism from environmentalism. As far as liking your own race, it is perhaps better to say, “Love your neighbor as yourself.”

The annoying thing to me about American left environmentalism is ignoring huge and immediate problems while focusing on pretend or disputable ones. There is a big problem with early menses among girls in the country, which probably has an environmental cause. We are putting plastics into the seas, which cause huge problems for marine life. The oil spill was handled poorly by the governement. Yet we spend (tens? hundreds?) of billions on pretend global warming with fake science to back it up. It’s freakish.

Just like PETA focusing on the chicken “holocaust” and anti fur drives.

Enviros who castigate Americans while not quite giving a hoot about endangered species or habitat loss.

And if we wanted to do have a global enviro project, that huge island of plastic gathering in the southern great ocean would be a great candidate for vacuuming out of the ocean.

Sure. The immense spending on nonsense would cover the real environmental problems . . . and more.

Another thing is foreign species taking over local environments. Big problem with pacific lion fish in the Caribean. Bad mojo . . . they eat all the pretty local fish and leave the reef ecosystem filled with . . . lion fish. Voracious little foreign bastards.

A good book that deals with how poor a job the Endangered Species Act has done with regard to saving animals is called “A Green Gone Wild” by M. David Stirling of the Pacific Legal Foundation - http://www.amazon.com/Green-Gone-Wild-Elevating-Nature/dp/0936783532.

That is the whole point. The Greens really are not that green. Most everything they touch actually seems to worsen the environmental problems, especcially over things they purport to resolve - http://myweb.wwu.edu/~zaferan/369%20dumb%20growth%20article.pdf.

I think you’ve got it.

Often any input from scientists, engineers, biologists is ignored in order to hotbutton an issue for political, financial gain. Has anyone not eaten a chicken leg because of PETA?

If you solve a problem, then what’re you gonna do.....

Invasive species, whether people, plants or animals, was a major concern of the Nazis.

All Utopias are Dystopias as a Utopia cannot exist by sheer definition.

Socialistic utopias, green or otherwise, have borrowed heavily from Jewish-Christian millennial views, but have discarded the spiritual nature of such a Millennium because of their zealous secularism. Hitler’s 1,000 year Reich is a good case in point, but Marxism is just as apocalyptic. In other words, it is one thing for a philosopher to contemplate about an utopia like Plato’s Republic, but quite another when political idealists start behaving like social engineers to bring it all about. It creates nothing but wanton destruction of people’s lives, all for a utopia that they will never be able to attain. Please see this website www.rmarkmusser.com and especially check out the articles that deal with false political milleniarianisms.

The problem with "environmentalism", whether preached by the Nazis or the heirs of the 1960s is that is a religion, and not concerned with facts or science.

If I try to tell a true believer of age 20 or so that the skies and waters are incredibly cleaner than they were 40 years ago, and that I remember how filthy they were, they don't believe me. They tell me I am lying. They must believe that things are worse than ever, and that any year now, we'll all croak, because that is part of their doomsday faith.
