Again, I didn’t say I believe this.

I posted it because the best place to find an explanation is on FR.

The smartest people in America are here.

So, WHAT is it?

NOT, “it can’t be true, because of blah blah blah ....”

Tell me what it is.

It’s not a big deal, I would like to know what going on there.

“What good would a cell phone do her before cell towers?”

Perhaps she is talking to cell towers that WILL be built nearby.

If you could transport matter through time, energy would certainly be a no brainer.

An advanced civilization wouldn't need towers. It could have be similar to sat. phones, or any type of communications device. The stranger questions are: Why her, why then, why there, why use such a device in public. Doesn't make any sense.

Perhaps some guy had the idea of people being able to communicate in such a manner long before it was ever realized and staged the shot. Yet it is so arcane and out of place, and so minute that to even fake such a thing for some obscure idea is ridiculous.

I will say he/she (and it's clearly dressed as a dumpy, obese, elderly female wearing size 14 shoes) does in deed seem to be talking and talking INTO some device which is clearly being held up to her ear for convenience. Very bizarre.

I think a time traveler could handle the problem of ‘phone towers’... they’ll be gone in 30 years....

If, and that of course is a huge if, there were such a thing as time travels or others who were advanced beyond what we know about the times that wanted to stay in contact with each other who is to say that they didn't also have in place whatever it took to communicate with each other. Also, maybe they were in some kind of warp that overlapped each other so that the satellite rays entered through. The idea of a time traveler is so remote that if the tech existed we may not understand what else may exist with it. We don't actually know nearly all that we think we do.

She has the next generation of cellphone technology. Doesn't require towers.

The REAL answer is just as interesting. She IS a time traveller but that's a little transistor radio she's jamming to. 23 skidoo!
