She was said to be considering going on a diet after becoming fed up with being talked about as the 'curviest woman in Hollywood.'
But fans of Christina Hendricks can rest assured - the Mad Men actress is definitely not planning on losing her famous curves.
'I love my body as it is,' she told British Grazia magazine. 'People in the industry have been telling me to lose weight for years but I like the way I look.' It was reported that the 35-year-old, who has a stunning 39D-30-39 figure, had told friends she wants to lose more than two stone.
But the actress, who is married to actor Geoffrey Arend, said she has her mother to thank for helping her feel secure about her figure.
'I give credit for my mother for helping me feel good about my appearance - for making sure I never felt embarrassed about my body, because she was never worried about looking too big,' she said
However, it seems the star wasn't always quite so curvy.
'I started out as a model and when I went to Italy to build my modelling book I gained 15 pounds from all the pastas and cappuccinos,' she revealed.
'I saw my body change and I loved how it changed my appearance and how it made me look more womanly and sexy.'
Hendricks recently showed off her curvy figure in a black floral dress at the New York screening of the Mad Men series finale.
She plays sexy secretary Joan Holloway on the cult 1960s drama whose fourth season recently finished in the U.S

She appeared in 2 episodes of Firefly. The first is probably the one she didn't like, where we are introduced to Saffron. The second is where we find out that she's known by at least 2 other names, Bridget and Yolanda. In that episode there's a bit of eye candy for the ladies, with Nathan Fillion nekkid (I think Joss was trying to make up for the first episode for his wife).

Yeah, the one where they were stealing the antique laser gun was not a problem for Mrs. Robroy.
Here is a funny one: Mrs Robroy’s attitude towards our marriage is very similar to Christina’s character’s when she was trying to hoodwink them. Maybe Mrs Robroy subconciously felt some competition in that area.
Not to fear though. We are utterly devoted to each other as the bible tells us to be. It’s funny, but when BOTH of you are more focused on what you can do to please the other, rather than what the other can do to please you, things go very well. :)
She reminds me of my wife, who is also a redhead, but Ms. Hendricks has more on her chest than my wife. However, I love my wife for her mind, soul AND body. It works for us.
Sorry - I think she’s just fine the way she is.
I am not attacking anyone’s wife. I hate the whole Hollywood and TV hype and crap. It is all brainwashing garbage and the left/elites/Islamics.
People think this election will matter but the brainwashing will start before election day. I cancelled TV a year ago and it is like The Matrix.
This Mad Men show is real crap in that it potrays WASP/Christians circa 1950//1960s as immoral, devious, adulterous, slutty women, back stabbing, etc etc. Ditto garbage like Desparte Housewives which attacked marriage and normal people.
Hollywood and TV can go ef themselves.
Ditto the slimy NFL, NBA and MBL, NCAA who love Obama. The NFL blocked Rush from buying a team yet he and other idiots keep watching the felons.
would be like splitting rails.
“Not my type. Terrible hair and, I’m sorry, she’s borderline obese. I like curves, but there are limits.”
LOL! I think that dogs is cuter I agree about her curves - a bit too much. The picture someone posted of her smoking was kind of gross.
I am not picking on her but the hype media and other saying - “oh you look good honey” is off base. The freak media constantly pushing pictures of that Kim Kardashian - liek who cares. She has a can the size of a Buick and they have to airbrush her like crazy.
This Christina woman - if she stops smoking - she is going to be a cow.
I am a man so I am not jealous. I would not be jealous of her husband after seeing her in that smoking picture. Too big for me. I remember a tall blond, not that long ago, I could have “dated”. She was better proportioned, prettier and not a bottle blond (or red head) but was pushing it a little on the weight. I think she had better curves than Christina.
Pass. I slightly regret that.
I have no idea about this show - I don’t watch it.
I have a TV, and if there’s a show that I like, I DVR it, and watch it at my leisure.
Big Bang Theory, for one - is an ensemble show that is sweet, and doesn’t appear to be vulgar, etc.
My family watches a few shows together - Extreme Makeover Home Edition, several kid shows (under 9 age group), and I watch some sci/fi.
My wife watches all the housing shows (House Hunters, Design on a Dime or whatever).
And I didn’t say you attacked my wife -— I also do not like the portrayal of ‘normal’ as to be that of a 12 year old body as ‘sexy’. It’s ridiculous.
REAL women have curves. REAL women have hair.
a mite plump but hardly ugly or grotesque
with so many women running around with belly aprons and 100 pounds overweight this girl looks sprite
Now that is some good news!
Christina Hendricks looks great. Michelle Obama looks great. There, I said it. And I make no apologies. Women are supposed to have curves.
You have the last word, Vet. And that is :
Roger that !!!
May I be of some ass-istance?
Oh, I’m familiar with Susanna Hoffs and the Bangles, in fact I have most of their stuff. Nice pic, thanks for sharing.
Ha ha ha! She does look like she needs a little help.
Love the tagline, duckman!
