Nearly a year after Haitis devastating earthquake, Sean Penns JP Haitian Relief Organization is managing a massive tent city. And now, as several of his relief partners announce they are pulling out, Penn is standing his ground.

If staying in Haiti and working relief projects for the folks down there keeps him busy, then more power to him. Better he’s doing something worthwhile there than being a pain in the a** here.

Hey, Penn-Head, you dope: go ahead and spend millions of your money and the money of your Hollywierd buddies. You can spend money in Haiti for CENTURIES and it will still be just like it existed on the day you arrived there.

You don’t have to like him but if he stays and does some good for someone else then good on him - I still don’t like him but I will give the man some respect for putting his money where his mouth is.

He didn't say ONE word about the billions of dollars Hussein Obama promised to Haiti. Of which, 13 months later, the Island hasn't received a dime.
Guess he is so busy clothing the naked and feeding the needy, it slipped his mind.
I am not very well informed on exactly what is and is not happening in Haiti, either to reform its institutions or in terms of relief efforts there.
So, I could be wrong. But, my suspicion is that like many other things that Penn has taken political positions on over the past ten years, I imagine his work in Haiti MIGHT be another perfect example of extreme “Liberalism”; extremely “well-intentioned” and extremely misguided. Exactly what the Marxist’s meant by their “useful idiot” Liberal “friends”.
