John Cougar Mellencamp, the famous crooner behind Jack & Diane, supported Obama in 2008 and even asked the McCain campaign to stop using his songs for rallies. But the AP reported Friday morning that the singer has been vocal in his admiration for someone else of late: Sarah Palin.
The legendary rocker says that while he doesn't support her positions, he is impressed by the mark she's made on the country since the 2008 election, the AP reports.

Supposedly I am a cousin to him sometimes removed. I am not a fan of his at all. We do come from the same German Plump family stock. I did think about knockin’ on his door and saying “Hi cousin”. LOL, it was a passing thought.

Okay, folks, follow the money. The guy lives in Bloomington, Inidiana and sings rock with a country flair. His career is dead and he needs Sarah’s people to buy tickets and albums. Guys that hate communism don’t like Johhny anymore. He has lost the south and the continent between New Yawk and the Left Coast. DIXIE CHICK effect.
Whenever things don’t apparently make sense—follow the money.

That was my thought as well. First, they threw Williams to the dogs this week, now for Mellencamp in 3... 2... 1...
It won’t be long before they revoke his Lib Card.
Just providing a bit of color to the situation involving what most people probably think of as folks with only the slightest connection.
Wow! That picture doesn’t even look like the same guy.
Back-handed compliment...
