Director Ron Howard’s upcoming comedy “The Dilemma” came under fire after a trailer was released featuring the film's star Vince Vaughn’s character referring to electric cars as “gay.”
CNN host Anderson Cooper appeared on “The Ellen DeGeneres Show” and denounced the language, the joke soon disappeared from the film’s trailer.
But an insider tells Pop Tarts it wasn’t Anderson-on-"Ellen" that initiated the change.
“The decision to change the trailer came two to three weeks prior to Anderson Cooper’s appearance on ‘Ellen’ after learning some people were offended, as well corresponding with GLAAD (The Gay and Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation,)" said our source.

The joke works because there is truth in it.
Look for South Park to tackle the subject. If they can’t handle one joke, a whole half- hour show of ‘fag’ and ‘gay’ will really cork their bums. (And they might like that.)
They have already gone after hybrid OWNERS (smug), not the cars themselves. Same mindset of people will beconsidering these things.

I have news for the gay/ pc crowd on this one. My twenty-something year-old sons and all their friends, nevermind that they are in the supposed enlightened (read brainwashed by the public school system)generation, routinely use the term “gay” to mean hopelessly flawed, not meeting expectations or just plain crappy. Their slang use of the word has now become so prevalent that it ought to be put in the dictionary that way.
It’s gay to even be talking about this.

Hollywood is full of cr@p! If you’ve ever been around gay people, their conversations are so full sail it would make a longshoreman blush!
In the SP/Team America movies, they used Marc Shaiman, who is gay, to write songs that mock gays, like "Everyone Has AIDS". Probably why they can get away with it.

What kind of homosexual is Anderson Cooper to still act like he is in the closet. If he wanted to do his gay agenda and movement a favor he should come out clean if this is so important to him...ditto Shep Smith.

Some jokes are more “offensive” than others. Depends on how big a victim group you are “offending.” The top of the list victim group, jihadism, is offended by swirls on ice cream cups and soccer jerseys.
On the other end, Christians and Jews are supposed to accept being offended, because no one ever gets in trouble for offending them.
Hurt feelings only matter if it’s the hurt feelings of leftist voting groups.

Both the cars and Cooper are suspect.
