Bristol Palin Dancing with the Stars Week 5 Elimination Pending? Live thread Mon. 8:00 ET

Dancing With the Stars week 5 performance show is Oct. 18, and it could mean that Bristol Palin is eliminated on Oct. 19. The past two weeks have seen her and dancing partner Mark Ballas consistently at the bottom of the weekly scoreboard.

Both times Palin and Ballas have been just ahead of the lowest scoring couple, getting saved each week, despite being placed in jeopardy by the combination of judges' scores and audience home votes.

Last week, Palin and Ballas were eighth place out of nine couples, just ahead of The Situation and Karina Smirnoff during week 4 of Dancing With the Stars. It was down to these two couples at the end of the show, and it was The Situation and Smirnoff who were sent home.

The previous week, Palin and Ballas were just ahead of Margaret Cho and Louis Van Amstel, but it was Cho and Van Amstel who went home. Now all of the low-scoring couples have been voted off the show, leaving Palin and Ballas very vulnerable at the bottom of the scoring so far this season.

As with any reality competition show, things can shift from week to week, and it could lead to Palin and Ballas putting up their best scores of the season.

So far in the season, Palin and Ballas have averaged a score of 18 out of 30, which isn't good by any stretch of the imagination. Maybe this is the week where they really impress the judges, though, making their elimination a rash prediction.

The Oct. 18 Dancing With the Stars performance begins at 8 p.m. on ABC, with the promotions for the show stating that they will all be dancing to TV theme songs.

lol. She probably should have gone home, but can you say popular. The people like her regardless of dance. This is how this show will end. People will vote for popular instead of dance. Kinda love it.

Jennifer and Derek must be in shock. I don’t want to vote for her since I saw her diva moment last night.

I went to the dial a score place. Florence is probably off, she had the lowest raw score on the calls. Bristol was #3, Kurt #1 and Jennifer #2. I don’t understand this at all unless they aren’t releasing til the show is over.

I remember hearing a long time ago that Grey did not do the dancing in the Dirty Dancing movie. It was a body double dancer.

I could be wrong about that. Or else I am thinking of another movie.

It sounds ridiculous to even announce that Jennifer is in jeopardy.

What happened, I missed the diva moment!?

BTW, wonderful watching these boys dance for their mom! (just wish the women were not dancing with them).

I read online that Patrick Swayzee was frustrated with Jennifer Grey during the filming. She was not a good learner when he tried to teach her dancing routines, and she acted silly.

Right. Outfit was way too big.

ABC also had to know that when she goes, so goes their damn ratings... unless they keep her until the near end. Then the viewers are mosre likely to watch the better dancers until the show completes its season.

They have at least two or three others they can drop before Bristol and Mark.

Golden Boy doesn’t have a lot of patience. Perhaps this is why he wants the better dancer every time.

It angered Jennifer.

not sure if it was staged or not.

They don’t want Jennifer’s fans to be complacent and think that they don’t need to vote.

Jennifer told Derek what she thought of his attitude and she walked out of rehearsal.
