Both are rescue dogs.They were mistreated terribly.
They have turned out to be amazing dogs!
This is her baby picture (she's two years old now) and she had a tough day yesterday. She had to go to the Vet and she wound up peeing all over me in the waiting room. Thinking about it, it was ME that had the tough day yesterday. Oh well, she's worth it:

BTW we are down to only one Donkey. We had a couple of more, but time takes its toll. Donkeys are lovely animals with marvelous dispositions. Sometimes a little crazy, but mostly loveable little characters that need hugs often.
The first year with Maggie was a wild time,but it was well worth it,in the end.

I’m sorry. I’ve not been on line tonight. I was busy watching “Hatchi” on the Hallmark Channel — the story of a great Akita who waited faithfully for his master to come back on the train from his day’s work (except his master had died).
Hatchi’s loyalty impressed the townspeople so much that they contributed to his upkeep and built a bronze statue at the strain station in his memory after he died. It’s a true story that happened in Japan in the late ‘20s and early ‘30s, but Hollyweird had to bastardize the story and relocate it to an imaginary New England town and put Richard Gere in the lead role. It was still a good movie, and I recommend it to everyone, if they rerun it (which they will.) Or, get it on Netflix. Keep tissues at hand.
