Ward, dont be too hard on the Beaver! Good point. Barbara's June Cleaver exemplified the ideal mother, stern when need be, but a tempering influence on the uncompromising disciplinarian that fly-off-the-handle Ward often was (not that that was a bad thing, Ward was nearly the ideal father.)
Remember when Beaver lost his haircut money (again) and talked Wally into doing the job? Hilarious!! And Ward was about to sentence them to severe punishment when June brought it to his attention that maybe the boys were afraid to come to them with their problems for a reason. Wow, what a diplomat.
I like to think that Barbara brought a lot of herself to that role.

It’s always sad to see one of your tv faves pass away. Still, she made it to 94, and had both a successful career and a full life. And that ain’t too bad!
RIP, Mrs. Cleaver.

Prayers go out to her family and friends.
That has to be one of the best casting decisions for a minor role in movie history.

Sad.Those were days that were much simpler and more moral. In the 50’s,”June Cleaver” was the role model (well, kind of at least)...today Rosie O’Donuts is.

Sad, another time, another world. I miss it.I put thousands of miles on my bike as a kid with nothing to worry about except the occasional car and the town bully. Didn't have to worry about him any more after he needed stitches to sew his lower lip together. Best overhand right I ever threw.
