Earthquake in Central Oklahoma
Red Dirt Report ^ | October 13, 2010 | Andrew W. Griffin

OKLAHOMA CITY -- Did you feel the earth shake at about 9:06 this morning? Well, reports are coming in and it appears that a minor earthquake did roll through the Oklahoma City area this morning. A 4.5 earthquake is what local news reports are saying.

We here at Red Dirt Report, here in mid-Oklahoma City, certainly felt it, noticing that the cats were startled and one fell off a table. What is interesting is that your Red Dirt Reporter has been predicting an earthquake in our area for a couple of weeks. I say that because I have noticed a number of "lost pets" signs tacked on poles. Some time ago I had heard that pets start "disappearing" - as our kitten did a few weeks ago - prior to earthquake activity.

You might as well say there's corn farming in Canada. Or tornadoes in California...

Or a dress made out of balloons.

The US Geologic Survey has officially said it was a 4.3 quake. Are you saying they are lieing? Would you like to bet $10k on it?

That's as likely as snow skiing in Hawaii.

Mornin', Laz! Ever seen the skis the old islanders used to ski down the lava slopes? That'll set your hair on end, if nothing else does...

An earthquake in Oklahoma? That's as likely as snow skiing in Hawaii.

See here: It's OKLAHOMA!

I know, I know - nothing here but tee pee's and pump jacks. Or, depending on your point of view, "ticks and chiggers and wait-a-minute vines". LOL!

It was really just a mass delusion, and must have been Bush's Fault!

LOL. Never thought about it before but that sounds like an Indian name.

Seems like Tornado Alley has shifted a little to the northeast, so I guess now we have to put up with quakes.

"Tornadoes in California"

Not out of the realm of possibility.

It's as likely that there was an earthquake in Oklahoma as there is a machine-gun in a private citizens hands.

Just couldn't happen.

No no no. There is as likely to be snow skiing in Hawaii, as there is to be mountain climbing in Illinois.

That’s just silly. There’s as likely to be ski clubs in Hawaii, as there is to be Christian churches in the old Soviet Union.
