Hoosiers lose to Nebraska, again. I saw that happen myself on a rainy afternoon in 1979 in Memorial Stadium in Bloomington. Now that Nebraska is joining the Big 10, I will have to adjust to it being a regular event.

Way to go, Trojans! Next week, let’s roast the Ducks!
In another notable score last Saturday, the Occidental College Tigers played the University of California College of Agriculture Aggies to a tie.

From back in days when 11 MEN played both ways a substitution was limmited.
Crowds still turned out for the games.

Now that Nebraska is joining the Big 10, I will have to adjust to it being a regular event. I haven't heard that, but if it's true, that is, indeed, good news. The league needs another team after Chicago's departure.
Although it remains in the Big 10, the University of Chicago, one of the league's co-founders, dropped intercollegiate football last year because of their young liberal president Robert Hutchins' hostility to the sport. Fortunately, few, if any schools will be following Hutchins' lead.

Coach Frank Leahy takes undefeated Boston College to beat Alabama in the Orange Bowl Leahy sounds like a pretty good coach. Perhaps one of his teams will one day play the USC Trojans.
