Before he was traded to the Minnesota Vikings, Randy Moss got into a catfight with Tom Brady about, of all things, his facial hair.
According to Charley Casserly of CBS, Brady and Moss had a verbal altercation before the trade and that the pair had to be separated. During the spat, Brady told his receiver to shave his beard. Moss responded that Brady should cut his hair, because he looks like a girl.

Hair's to you...;-)
Look at this thread here about the Brady hair comment. Drudge knows his pop culture—and his site hits.
Are you saying you ugly? LOL
...and it’s a lovely beard at that!
If Gisele likes it, who cares what anyone else thinks.
So, that would also make him whipped and Giselle has incredibly bad taste in hairstyles. Why doesn’t she just go after Justin Beiber or however you spell that kid’s name?
That would be a no
“Wasnt Moss on any of the Superbowl teams with Brady?”
Yes, but not one of the ones that won.
Despite the loss in ‘08, though, I think it was the greatest Patriots team ever.
What was the Sanchez/Sainz controversy?
“3 rings for Brady.
0 for Moss.
Discussion over.”
Specious argument. There’s an awful lot of happenstance involved in winning championships. If things had gone a little differently for Moss in ‘98, ‘99, and ‘07, who knows? One thing we do know is that Brady’s ‘01, ‘03, and ‘04 teams were defensive powerhouses. Not before ‘07, coincidentally when Moss joined, did they become barn-burners.
You won’t find either laymen or pundits, no matter how many championships he wins, placing Brady alongside giants like Montana, Manning, Farvre, or Marino. Moss, contrarily, is inarguably one of the elite of his position (I’d personally say 2nd best all-time, behind the obvious), and arguably changed the game (or at least the offensive game) with his notorious “deep threat.” Are you gonna tell me, say, 4-time champion Lynn Swann is better simply because he has more rings? Seriously?
Can we get any stupider? Shoot I just told the guys that work for me that they are all Ho’s because I misspelled “Who’s” in an email to them. Let me tell you, they are going to cry and whine about that one. Not. If he did say this, it’s one guy giving crap to another guy. Let’s quit womanizing our culture please?
Championships follow champions.
Moss is not a champion. He has some great numbers - as do many.
He was a head case, who was resurrected by the Pats. Had a few good seasons - and now appears to be back on his old track.
As for Brady - since you seem to want to play “woulda coulda shoulda” but for a few plays - that would be 4 rings.
“Just happenstance”. Nice argument. Fits just about any occaision.
Yes -
The losing one.
In 2007 post season - 3 games - Moss had 7 receptions - 5 in the Super bowl - for a post season total of 94 yards. 2 receptions for 32 yards in the two other post season games.
Draw your own conclusion re big players making big performance in big games. (Granted - Brady’s job to get hime ht ball - but ...)
Moss is a great talent. 3 rings as QB - it is what it is.
Without the resurrection from the Pats (and Brady) Moss’ career would have faded, like so many.
Brady and the Pats are an organization that finds a way to win. They will find a way to win without Moss.
I’d love to have Moss - but given a choice - no contest.
“Championships follow champions”
You have that backwards.
“As for Brady - since you seem to want to play ‘woulda coulda shoulda’ but for a few plays - that would be 4 rings.”
That goes both ways, of course. Take away what most people consider one of the stupidest rules in the history of sports—the infamous “Tuck Rule”—and we’re back to 3. Plus, one for Moss, since obviously in your scenario Brady’s benefit is Randy’s benefit.
“’Just happenstance’. Nice argument. Fits just about any occaision”
That’s a deliberate misreading. I said there’s a lot of happenstance. Obviously other things are involved. As for the “any occasion” part, no. Obviously, if Brady was a tennis player, for instance, I would be grossly rationalizing. Football, however, is a team sport. What is the active roster, 45 players? Granting QBs are the single most important position, still much is dependent on who happens to surround you. That is one “occasion” wherein it’s perfectly justifiable to bring up luck.
Manning, as everyone knows, easily bests Brady statistically, yet has one 2 fewer rings. Why? Duh. Brady had Belichik and excellent defense and special teams. Dan Marino was as unlucky as Brady was lucky. Enough said.
“yet has one 2 fewer rings” = yet has 2 fewer rings
