Looks like I'm stuck on night shift again, can't sleep except when I'd like to be out doing something. I started the cycle when the birds got scarce, the weather changes should get them going again. We need a hurricane to come just close enough to fill the ponds up, they are all way down.
I got my foul weather jacket out to see if it needs cleaning, put it on a chair and Missy took it over.

That’s a satisfied cat.
Beautiful cat. We have always loved American Shorthairs (tabby).
At least she sleeps on a coat. My cat Fat Boy sleeps either in my office chair or draped over my feet.
She looks as fresh as spring time and so pretty and satisfied.
She looks as though there’s a calico-colored ancestor in her background. And that she knows blue is her color. : )
It looks like you have some serious sharpening going on in-camera, or the flash the is set too bright. Try to tone that down a bit, or put a diffusion filter on the flash. You might want to buy a set of umbrellas, boxes, and lights and have a go at studio photography. It can be pricey, but your subject matter deserves it. You’ll be amazed at the results you can get. I’ll dig up some of my work and show you want I mean.
When I'm not lazy I can set up a couple of remotes with optical triggers.
I've found that stuff that stays on Photobucket tends to go soft as time passes so I start on the sharp side. Pbase is better but not 100% I wish I could store Tiff files online.
She’s a beautiful girl Swamp. Looks like she’d fit in one hand. She looks like a great sleeping buddy. Mine likes fresh towels off the clothes line. Jumps right in basket!
Good pictures. The second one gives a good look at their shoes ;-).
That’s one contented kitty SWAMPSNIPER.
I woke up at 12:20 this morning to find Ivan “Buddy” Katsinov had brought a playtoy into our bed sometime during the night. I didn’t know what it was at first, and it had my “Oh Noes” running, but it was just a toy.
When I got up at 3:00 this morning to get things moving for the day I found that “Boo” Bratinov had taken over the chair I had laid my clothes out for the day, and I had kitty warmed socks to put on. I thanked her for her efforts.
Cats are fun.
It's bagpipes and Beethoven for me! Got a neighbor who plays rock, one of these days I'm gonna cut the wires to his house!
The ones of Missy curled up reminds me of how our Cats, Boots & Tiger (Brothers) would do that. I have pics of them curled up on the toilet 'carpet' (or what ever women call those little things that go on the floor that match the 'hated' seat cover.)
I had them blown up to 8x10, mounted them myself and Framed them. Friends would ask the wife in amazement; 'Why'd you hire a professional photographer to take pictures of your Cats'? She'd laugh and say, 'I didn't'.(1)
So now these many years later we now have our Yellow Lab, Honey (3 yo now), thanks to our youngest daughter who wanted a puppy and 'surprised us' (shock was more like it). So Honey's been my 'Model' with my new Nikon.
Plus this weekend I again got to be the 'Family Photographer' (like I used to be in 'the olden days with my 35mm Nikon) at our oldest grandson's 6th B-Day party. So now I have about 150 pics I have to run through my Nikon Software, or the in-camera editing, and upload to Photobucket.
(1) But alas when they got to about 2 1/2 years old, two males in the house didn't work and Tiger 'left' as Boots was 'the boss' (or our neighbor lady killed him, she was a (blank).)
ps: None of your pics look 'too sharp'. But hey, what do I know.
I only grew up in a Darkroom smelling developer and fixer. Got my 1st camera 56 years ago. Been shooting an SLR for 38+ years, and went to that Photography School thingy. And could have been 'a pro' if I used family pull at a major Chicago metropolitan newspaper (but my new Bride and I kinda liked to EAT so I stayed in Engineering).
There's a time and place for 'soft focus' and a time and place NOT for it.
Cute.
