Just weeks after announcing their exit, Deadliest Catch stars Capts. Johnathan and Andy Hillstrand and Capt. Sig Hansen are back aboard the hit Discovery Channel series, a network rep confirms.
The Hillstrands announced their exit on Sept. 28th, saying they were unable to continue filming the show due to ongoing litigation with the network. Discovery sued the brothers a week prior for $3 million, claiming the stars refused to finish work on a planned Deadliest Catch spin-off, entitled Hillstranded.

Something about how the two brothers owed Discovery a series on gay bath houses or something. I kind of forgot.

Im willing to guess that all will be settled just before they go out in October.

Sig probably handled the delicate parts of the negotiations with Discovery ;^)
Good. Without them, there would be no more Deadliest Catch.
As heard in households around the country... “Sorry honey, I’ll do it later, Crab Fishermen is on”.....
who blinked first?
As one who has followed the “Deadliest Catch” through its seasons, I have developed an affection for these guys and the photography crews that work aboard the crab boats to film the series. For people who have never experienced rough weather and storms at sea, “Deadliest Catch” provides an inside look into this harsh and unforgiving life. The rewards are great and so are the risks.
We, the viewers, have gone through the actual near and actual loss of ships and real people have died on the show. I know of very few reality shows where real ships have sunk and crew members have drowned. When all is said and done, the director calls “Cut!”, the ship is still sunk and crew members are still dead. You don’t get any more real than that.
The way the show and producers handled Capt. Phil Harris’ two medical emergencies and his death was done with a degree of taste and respect that’s pretty much lacking in your typical TV fare. I am glad that the various camps came to their senses in this matter.
