A new internal poll conducted for Republicans shows Dino Rossi leading Sen. Patty Murray 48 percent to 42 percent, the Washington Post's Chris Cillizza reports.
The sampling of 500 likely by Fabrizio, McLaughlin and Associates was taken Sept. 26-27. The margin of error was 4.5 percent. The same poll in June had the candidates tied.

Fantastic if true. Go, Dino. Stick with the issues and just hammer away at Dimwit Murray. 18 long, weary, dreary years in the Senate and nothing to show for it except massive deficits and soaring unemployment.

If, and that is a big IF....Rossi wins the election over Murray, I will first thank God, second I will cry......tears of joy. I have had no hope since Rossi was kept out of Olympia by theft, this would make me finally feel like there is a chance for the “other” Washington.

For decades, Washington was represented in the Senate by Warren Magnuson, who had been in Congress since the New Deal. Jack Kennedy once said that all Magnuson had to do was make a phone call, and Grand Coulee Dam went up. Maggie wasn't all that bright, but he brought home the pork. His little secret was alcoholism. In 1980, the voters were made aware of his little problem, and in the wave election of that year, Magnuson was sent to the showers by the voters.
Patty isn't all that bright, and her staff, one of the very best in DC, has kept her in a job for 18 years. Like Maggie, Patty has brought home the pork -- although Maggie had to be drunk to be that dumb.
In a wave election, even the Great Pork Barrelers can lose their jobs. That may be what is about to happen.

Cheers - and we can hope, work and pray for this.

I want to be optimistic about Rossi. He seems like a good, honest guy.
But unfortunately, it seems from anecdotal feedback, King County will go to the polls to ‘save us from Rossi’; they have no passion around Murry/BO ...
Just my feedback from downtown ...

Yep. I was 110% behind Didier (Palin’s guy too). Rossi is a milquetoast, just barely right of being a RINO. But he better win now, cause I gave him some $$, at the expense of other deserving candidates who I liked better.
Murray is Babs Boxer with out the former good looks.

Woo Hoo! Go Dino! I hope you folks in King County volunteer at your polling stations to keep an eye on the goings-on, the mail-in ballots, the counting, etc. He's going to need a 5 point victory just to make sure. And if he wins Tuesday night fair and square, no damn recounts until she wins!!
